08-09 Pontiac G8 Gear's will fit the Camaro?
Are the 08-09 Pontiac G8 and the 2009 up Camaro gears similars? Will they fit my Camaro SS?

The small G8 diff will not work in the Camaro, but the Camaro center section fits in the G8. Some g8 guys are replacing the whole rear end with camaro rear ends!

The G8 gears have a slightly smaller ring gear then the Camaro and will not fit. We tore both apart when they first came out and found this out.
We were also the ones to test fit one of the first Camaro centers into a G8 to find that it fits perfect. Now here is another option for Camaro guys. Wavetrac has come out with a posi for the G8's and the G8 rear will bolt right up to the Camaro. The Camaro inner stubs, axles and driveshaft bolt right up. We will have the G8 Wavetracs available later this week if anyone is interested. Thanks Chris |
