How many hate the location of the gas tank?
So all of my vehicles except the Camaro are on the driver side, and I wish they would have made it on the drivers side too. Anyone else?

It's just a matter of remembering. Doesn't bother me at all, to be honest.

The gas tank is below the trunk saddled around the differential, not on the passenger or driver's side.

And if you run out of gas, you're filling on the non-highway side.

My Outback is the same. I get around it by just making my passenger pump (and pay!)

Its on the same side as what was on my Z. What really bothered me the first time I went to fill it was no door release. This is my first car that didn't have a fuel door release.

At least the gas gauge tells you which side your tank is on. Not all cars do that and at least one of my wifes cars (Mini I think) had it backwards.

My biggest complaint was looking like idiot trying to find the fuel door release
and figuring out how to open it the first time I pumped gas. Now I prefer it on the pass side can get closer to the pump and not worry about hitting my door or the person next to me hitting my door with theirs |

Ditto idealneil
My wife's Ford Flex has the tank filler on the wrong side too, I have gotten used to it. As for safety, I grew up driving half ton pickups where the tank was located behind the driver's seat! So I appreciate the manufacturers finding safer places for things like that! |
