Can a Michelin Pilot Sport 295/35/20 be shoe horned onto a 10" rim? I would have thought yes until I saw the pictures of how wide they really are.

You can run up to a 305/35/20`s. I`m running the Pilot Sport PS2`s on 10" wide rims on the rears and the sidewalls are flat and flush to the rim.

Section width is not the only consideration when upsizing tires. You need to consider overall diameter too. A taller than stock tire will mean loss of gearing. My Toyo R888 315/30/20 race tires are almost 1" shorter than my street Nitto NT05 315/35/20 and I can feel the gearing advantage whenever I change over to them. In comparison, my buddy has a 91 ZR1 and he went from 315/35/17 to 335/35/17 and he said he could feel the car was much slower the first time he drove it.

Well yes and no. They are an excellent dry and wet tire. Tire wear might be an issue for you, I just put on a second set on the rears after a little over 20,000 miles and they were right at the wear bars. I only skinned them twice but I do like corning hard, so that might account for the wear. I`m not sure what some are getting for tire wear but I wasn`t too disappointed. The no part of the answer is they are pricey.

EDIT; After I posted I wasn`t to sure about that being pricey thing so I just went to Tire Rack to compare prices against other brands in a 305/35/20 size that Tire Rack carries and their just about middle of the road.

Michelins appear to have a lot more tread on the ground and a squarer shoulder.

How do the Michelin Super Sports (285/35-20 & 315/35-20) compare in size to Goodyear G2 (285/35-20 & 305/35-20)?

Hi Folks,

I'm going through this selection and Michelin offers 2 selections for the Super Sport 295/35/20's with service loads of: 1.) 101Y -or- 2.) 105Y XL (extra load).

Thoughts on which one to go with?

I have Nitto 275 and 315 on one set of wheels and PSS 285 and 315 on a second set. Both are very good tires and have been wearing very well. The PSS though are STUNNING.....

I really like them although I wish they had a sexier tread pattern.

I'm really amazing at how well they are wearing and I track the PSS tires.

Will the 295's fit on the front?
295 fronts and 315 rear seems acceptable. Give the car a bit of rake.
