Unless held to a un-franchised fuel delivery supply, i try an use the same busy station fuel supply for my car bike truck and sleds always so I stick with Sunoco 93 for my Cammed/Tuned SS

No it wasnt, lol, it was written in 2009. Cars have had high and low octane tables since at least the mid 90s..... And they don't "switch" between tables, the car will learn up or down between the tables and normally ends up somewhere in between. A stock car on premium will knock on the high octane table if you force it to run only that table. The low octane table is RETARDED low timing and even on 87 octane it is not enough. Again, the car ends up in between. I always copy my high octane table onto my low octane table, fine tune it to remove knock and add timing where I can. This way I get as much timing as possible without knock on pump gas. Then, for a customer car, I will reduce the low octane table about 5 degrees for the odd weird weather/bad gas situation. |

Welp.I'm probably going to stick with shell and either throw in 87 or 93 depending on how much they rise. I currently pay around $3.49 for regular and $3.79 for premium around northern NJ. However, I did notice that the car "feels" more intense running on 93 versus 87. Maybe that's just me haha. |

Thanks!
Thanks everybody for all of your input! It doesn't matter for me anymore because my grandfather bought me a 2004 Mach 1 earlier today. Looks like I'll have to stick with using the good stuff for a good while.

i guess even a 2004 mach 1 is better than no car....especially when it's free.
