Your bike doesn't count. You're strapped to almost nothing but an engine between your legs. Context is helpful.

I don't need to go fast or be heard half a mile away , been there done that. Had a Supercharged 05 SSR 6M with many mods. So if you have the bug for thrills don't waste your time and more important money with the LT.

Sounds like to me you're trying to convince justify your purchase and make yourself believe you shouldn't of got the SS. People have different needs/budgets.

I agree , people have different needs/budgets. So why so many stories of upgrading in a short time and losing a lot of money.

Probably as many have traded for a convertible from a coupe as have gone from a V6 to an SS. I traded my V6 Coupe for a V6 Vert. There is nothing to shame anyone for, they just changed their mind on what they want. No harm no foul.

You may be right. I've only noticed the V6 to SS upgrades with taking it in the shorts.

I thought about it, the 1SS vs the 2LT RS and I picked the 2LT. I figure I've spent $4000.00 (give or take) less in gas in 2 years. That's significant enough in itself for my budget and $4k I could spend on mods. My need for feed of the speed ego is not so great I needed the SS just for more power. And I'm in a damn nice Camaro so my vanity is stroked just right.
We all live within our means. Deal with it.

In order to have saved $4,000 in gas over a two year period, you must drive a ton!!!

For instance, if you drive 20,000 miles a year in the V-6 and obtain the average EPA combined rating of 22, pay an average of 3.50 per galon, Here are how the numbers work out:

20000 Miles/22 Mpg = ~909 gallons of gas
909 galons at 3.50/gallon = $3181.50

let's do the numbers for the V-8 now with the same above assumptions with an epa combined of 19 (I have an avg of 18.989 since I bought mine so I assume the epa is pretty close). Premium is usually .20 more/gal than 87 around here, but I'll even round it up to a quarter...

20000 Miles/19 Mpg = ~1053 Gallons of gas
1053 Gallons at 3.75/Gallon = 3948.75

What does this mean? If you put 20,000 miles on your car in an average year, the v6 would save you $767.25. or $1535.5 over a two year period. to save $4,000 over two years, you would need to drive approximately 52,000 miles... per year...
