I am not a vintage Chevy muscle guy, but I know for a fact that Oldsmobile 442 wagons were ordered and delivered during this time. Berejik Olds used to enter one in shows around here.

If a savvy buyer ticked the right boxes, the equivalent of a Chevelle SS wagon could be had in 1970, I'm sure, and they would have been four door cars

I get that. It just doesn't make any sense to call a car "SS" when SS was an upgrade to a car.

It was a trim level, not a model. I'm with ya. I'm not all that happy with the name either, but I am VERY happy with a V8 powered, RWD Sedan!

I agree. There is some obvious Impala influence in the front end too. I'm sure it's a half assed photoshop.

Well im sure when it comes out and whatever it looks like will have a similar look to all trhe chevys that are in the lineup Ie camaro malibu and impala all have something off of each other even the cruise.
