If someone referred to you as "she" wouldn't you let them know you're a guy? I just let people know I'm female and not male if they refer to "his" or "he" when talking about me. Nice that your only comment about my car was that it had a shitty launch. |

Terry, it's a nice car. No it doesn't "do it" for me. Don't get so worried that I'm not singing it's praises like everyone else. It's a wave in a sea of highly modified money pits. I like it, it's tasteful, which is more than can be said for most cars I saw last weekend. I was excited to see it run. I did and the launch sucked. What more can I say? I'm sure there are plenty of things to work out as it was just finished. No biggie.
As far as the he/she... yes, I would and I was just pointing that out to whomever said that, I guess you didn't like the manner in which I said it. |

My plate also made the thread about the coolest license plates. There was another one in the staging line. See below. Funny, I've got the seat so far back so I can fit with the helmet on that you can't even see a driver. At least I had my windows up and AC off. Quote:
Would love to join you guys, but was warned by the shop that replaced my right axle to take it easy as my left was most likely ready to go too. Time to do that "spring" mod I've been putting off.

It appears that it will be covered under warranty but still not completely sure. Last time I spoke with dealer, he said he was waiting for feedback from GM's cost analysis to determine if current engine should be repaired or replaced. He also mentioned I have camshaft issues. Not sure what that means or how it affected the incident, but oh well. With that, I would assume its covered, otherwise I'm screwed. It does look like I'm out for the rest of the season though. If I get a new engine, I want to break it in. If they repair it, I won't feel confident enough for a while to try again. (Either way, I'm looking to build another motor so this won't happen again) BTW-Nice job on the headlights. So you bit the bullet and found RS lights or did you go a different route?

![]() These lights where in an accident and my buddy bought them. I guess he though he could fix them or something but he couldn't. So I figured I'd give it a shot. I bought them both off him for only $300 (a single gm light cost $870). Just one was messed up. The driver side was fine. So I fixed it up and it's as good as new. I saved $1500 ![]() Quote:

Same here. Joined Camaro5 about 19 months ago shortly after I bought my 1LT RS, which I traded in, like so many end up doing, for my 2SS RS about 4 months ago.
Don't mean to sound anti-social (probably will though) but just not a big "joiner" so I mostly just tinker with my car on my own. Didn't really have that big of a desire to attend the recent Fest in Indy 'cause I didn't really want my baby to get "lost" in a sea of super-Camaro's. Maybe I'll end up bumping into (only figuratively I hope!) a few of you locals as time goes by. ![]()

You're right, the stock looking cars do get lost at C5Fest. We didn't even park in the "show" area of the parking lot. But it is fun to see all the different mods others think up, some crazy others pretty cool. My goals for last weekend were to do some drag runs on a world class track and hang out with my friends from this thread. Really enjoyed it. By the way, your SS/RS looks really sharp.
