Plasti - Dip DONE

Plasti-Dip done..

Was remarkably easy. Will upload pictures in a bit.

Question for those with plasti-dip on lettering already.

Does it last through car washes and such?

thanks
chris

I still need to do my letters. I did my bezels and bowties, but had a hard time removing the tape from the rear bowtie and I don't know if I want to hassle myself with the letters. It seems like it'd be a pain staking task to do. Looks good, by the way.

Thanks man. Yeah well i already paid to have my bowties done. i paid to have them covered with tint film (something like 40 bucks) from my tint guy. this was truly the easiest thing ive ever done. im decent with tools, but im the kinda person that never wants to try anything for the first time on my car. rather pay and have it done right. But this was simple. i think im going to black out the markers on the car as well. completely forgot.

not sure that can be done with plasti dip tho.

I've seen a few people black out their side markers with PD, but I don't know how bright the lights are afterwards, though.

I did this to mine. The light is still completely visible at night. It makes it dull compared to normal but that is to be expected. Looks better to me.

Not trying to say that you are wrong but mine has lasted through many pressure washes. I use the local carwash to pre-wash the dirt off and I've used direct force onto the PD and it still doesn't peel back. The stuff is very tough.

if you do 3-4 coats of dip, you can just peel it up around the letters and it cuts itself perfectly
