Dropped my nephew off at his house last night. Sister-in-law was across the street talking to the neighbor. As I backed out of the driveway, she said "Let's hear it!" So about 100 feet or so later the tires quit squealing.

I scared their neighbor's trailer really good too. It was parked on the street and I was heading sideways towards it. My son got a little scared I was gonna hit it too.

I'm gonna need new tires before winter anyway, so I might as well use them all the way up.

Joe has posted some updated info about the Hare Rally on 9/8. I know several of you came last year so I wanted to make sure you saw it. It will be at a different location this year (Hamilton Town Center - outdoor mall). Pretty much the next exit north off I-69, near the Klipsch Music Center. Hope to see a bunch of you again!

Nice! I did that once when I first got my car at a buddies house. He is a kid I grew up with and we we're always goofing off. Well, I was backing out and he gave me a smile and the burnout sign with his finger... You know, index finger out and swirling it around. Any how, the street was packed with kids and parents but the guy across the street also said something about giving it a little or something... So I let it rip. big ass smokey burnout and fish tail. Kids jumped back, it was great. A few parents weren't too happy but the kids loved it. Anything for the kids!

Tires are a small sacrifice to make when you can bring a smile upon a child's face.

Of course they'll be a few "characters" in any crowd, but I'd say you'll find most have similar interests, and an instant respect for all the cars we drive.

You're right, the stock looking cars do get lost at C5Fest. We didn't even park in the "show" area of the parking lot. But it is fun to see all the different mods others think up, some crazy others pretty cool. My goals for last weekend were to do some drag runs on a world class track and hang out with my friends from this thread. Really enjoyed it.

By the way, your SS/RS looks really sharp.
There were definitely some toolbag cars at Fest, but I looked forward to seeing everyone and getting away for a day or so. Was a good time. Hope to see some of the new people come out to upcoming gatherings.

Cool, thanks, that about what you're lookin for SIM? I could have held it longer but I figured that was enough. The fire chief came a second later. Thought something was on fire.

Oh, and this was prior to the line lock. This is just good old fashioned power braking and throttle feathering!
