Colorado is great in the summer. Midwest is to hot/humid and higher likelihood of bad weather rainout.

Zero interest in TX, been there when it's 100, no thanks.

Summer seems to work the best for everyone's vacation. Pick a place that would be really enjoyable in the summer. Maybe think outside the box... Brainerd MN has multiple tracks, awesome summer weather, incredible scenic drives, camping!. Camping would be a hoot at a fest, ever camped in the infield at a Nascar event like Dega.... stupid fun.

MI, MN, WI, OH, PA, IN, NJ.... or SE like FL/NC/KY/TN in late spring/early summer summer.

Colorado would be great too, tons of scenic drives and side trips to do on the way there.

Midwest summer heat is completely different from Southwest summer heat. Indy was mid 90's, but still enjoyable to be out in the sun all day but just take a few shade breaks once in awhile. TX or AZ in 100 degrees... forget it, sun feels like it is right over your head like a gazillion btu heat lamp. Florida in the spring would be awesome.

Who said Texas in the Summer.. That would be ridiculous

In fact anywhere in the South would need to be Spring or Fall.

I'm totally game for anywhere. Meeting up with 1000 Camaros is just simply loads of fun.

I agree.

The reason many of us are choosing Texas is that it's a more central location. C5Fest II limited many people coming from the east coast, and fest I and III caused problems for the west. I think us Texans have proven that we'll drive anywhere.

We're you at Indy? It was hot there. Summer is summer. I've worked in 42 states, Virgin Islands, Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, and Turkey. I've visited London, Czech, Rome, and Turkey. Does this make me an expert on climates? No. But I've been in Wyoming in 98 degree weather and been in Houston with snow on the ground. When you are planning an event 9 months out, weather is not a factor. Could be 100 degrees in the "Midwest" (god I hate that term) and 90-95 in Texas.

I survived C5F3!!!

Yes, I've spent a lot of time there over the years.

Probably won't happen, but a real good suggestion!
very good Idea I vote THUNDER VALLEY
