If you are confused about the name, you can help by submitting a name yourself. They don't have one yet, and there is a contest

I've thought about applying to GM Canada. and I have sent my resume to a place that provides technical people to the automakers.

I don't have anything better for them. I don't know what to call that thing

But it does have a nice interior, as one expects from what's been coming from Australia.

I'm new to the forum. I was considering the Pontiac Solstice coupe, but I'm kind of disappointed with how it turned out. I really like how the new Camaro looks (especially from the rear).

I'm got a ton of unused GM Card points. When I needed a new car a couple years ago, GM really didn't have anything that I wanted (Corvettes & Cadillacs are a little out of my price range). Thus, I bought a Civic, figuring that it'd hold its value fairly well so that if GM came out with a car that I really wanted I'd be able to sell the Civic and not take a total bath.

Thanks for the welcome. At this point, I suppose that I'm leaning toward a V6 coupe.

I was thinking of a base Challenger,
but I'm liking the Camaro too much to go that route : )

order of choices...CAMARO, Challenger, 370z, Lancer Evo, G8 GXP
the challenger is starting to grow on me... and i would aspire to get the 5.7 with a stick because it has cyl de-act. and the srt8 does not... my brother has a charger with some serious upgrades and the car flies... and handles great... and on top of which my dad is a mopar guy... everyday i pray for a camaro... but i just want a v8-6-speed coupe

I found the only suitable replacement to not owning a 5th Gen. The bus, just kidding. When comparing the numbers and available after market I would have to buy a Nissan GTR. The price will be much more than even an SS but if you facotor in the price of aftermarket performance parts and go fast goodies. You will have a car that is very close to what the GTR offers from the factory. Don't get me wrong I love the Camaro. But if I'm going to get bent over a barrel from the General, I might spend my money in the land of the rising sun.

If you have to spend over 30k in go fast goodies on the Camaro to beat a GT-R you are doing something wrong. And I'm not talking about just a straight line either. It may still lose a bit with the handling, but for 30 grand I'm sure that you could get a blower (or turbo) +intercooler plus other bits for the engine, complete suspension upgrade, new tranny, and new brakes. Plus prbably be able to have some light weight body pannels

Another option that I just thought of that some of us can consider. Now that the Challenger is going to produce full bore and with the Camaro coming on to the market, the Shelby GT500 is guaranteed to drop in price. Now that would be a sweet option to look at.

Why would anyone buy new car and then spend 30k more in aftermarket parts? One day you will sell it and those aftermaket parts are worth almost nothing unless you can return it to stock and part it out. Better off spending the whole wad on the best you can get.

The GTR outperforms a 911 turbo and seats 4. Even a ZR1 engined Camaro is not going to hang with it. They don't call it Godzilla for nothing.
