Haha, I know that feel man, I know that feel all too well. Mine is pushing 50 000kms and I worry about it running out of life too! As the guy above me said, as long as you have money to fix it up it will be golden!

The LLT engine used on the 2010 and 2011 Camaros is very similar to the engine used in the 2008+ Cadillac CTS. There are reports of this engine going strong after 150,000 km.
The LFX engine used in the 2012+ Camaro has not been around long enough for a definitive answer. |

I think it's all in how you treat it, with proper maintenance, engines nowdays should last 200k or more.

I am pushing 54,000 miles on my SS and no sign of weakness. Still feels like new. Only thing mechanically is I had to replace the drive line at 36K miles. Most cars are going to have a bad part here and there. Even with a cam and other bolt on performance parts it still doesn't use any oil. This is an awesome built car.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about the distance a car has traveled. I never have. While it is an indicator of use, that is just a raw data point. One data point is not the whole story. I can ruin a car within 10 km. But the odometer will read only 10 km, and it will be a very low odometer reading vehicle, correct? But it will be in poor condition In the 21st century, materials are chosen with greater care. Techniques are much better, quality overall is high compared to cars from even a decade or two ago. For example, primers on metals are now 'weld-through' primers. Tolerances are more tightly controlled overall. Rev limiters are commonplace now. ECUs can prevent engine damage. Relax and enjoy your car Shocks, struts, brake pads, these things are consumable items anyway. Your car will last a long time.

Do you mean "drive shaft"? I'm not ignorant of automotive terms; it's just that if you ask ten people from various areas to describe their "drive line", you'll get ten different answers

Ive had my SS for almost three years with zero problems. Then again, the car only has 18K miles.

What could realistically be expected from a Camaro:
Body... unlimited for most since they are typically garaged in winter Engine...Before major engine work, 150K miles on V-8's or 120K on V-6's DEPENDING on proper maintenance. Transmission...150K on auto, Stick 1k-200k on clutch(very driver dependant) unlimited on trans. Wheel bearings, rear ends, suspension all come in about 100k Biggest repair expenses for most under 100k will be for A/C
