2013 ZL1 Order to Delivery Time Span

Hey guys, just wondering what the average time span is from ordering a 2013 zl1 at the dealer to the delivery date. My dealer placed the order on 7/16/2012 and it still sits at status 1100. Wondering if I won't get it till before or after the new year. Thanks

It all depends.
First off, you can place an order any time you want and that order will sit at 1100 UNTIL the dealer not only gets an allocation for a ZL1 but also is allowed to USE that allocation.

The dealer may get told by GM that he will recieve perhaps 10 allocations for ZL1s but those 10 get dolled out on a month by month basis. Maybe 1 this month, 3 next month, etc, etc.

Once the dealer gets and is permitted to use an allocation against your order, your order will move to event 2000.

Once that happens, I would expect it would take maybe as much as 8 weeks before it gets delivered to the dealer.

My order went in on the first DOSP in may. Car was built in june took delivery endy of july.

it is all about status code 2000. once you hit that you allocation has been pulled and you are 8-12 weeks out depending on production, QC, and shipping. I think my car got extra QC. mine was 6 week from build to delivery.

If you are at 1100 it could never happen. I went nov 15th to may on a 2012 order at 1100 that never happened.

Mine should be here in a few days which is almost exactly 8 weeks from when the dealer got the actual allocation and thats from Oshawa Canada to Southern California.

Mine was ~6 months and 3 weeks. Of course, mine was a rolled over 2012 (VIN #150) which added to the duration of the wait.

Ordered early May, got it July 16th. I landed a very lucky roll over 12 allocation that was never built so I was able to order my car exactly how I wanted it. 2 months order to delivery.

I got my dealers second allocation which ended up being a 2012 roll over. I ordered it on May 14th and they submitted it on the 15th. Car was built on June 21st and got bayed for QC. It left the plant by rail on or about July 18th and finally arrived at the dealership on July 31st.

The approximate time for customer orders to arrive on dealership lots is anywhere between 6-12 weeks.

Some variables that may affect timing include: Availability of Vehicle Options - as some are designated as late availability, Transport Distance, and Production Sequencing (Order of Build).

For me the entire process felt like it took nearly a couple of months. My order was placed around mid june. At around a few weeks into July my order was pulled into production.
Finally order was delivered this month August.
