Check out jmontalvo. He just did a retrofit for his non-RS headlights and installed the AAC colorshifts. He posted the thread not too long ago, so its probably not that far down the list.

Please do not get single or dual colored halos. You will regret it big time. Pay a little extra and get the aac colorshifts and you can do any color you can imagine. I had dual colored halos for a year and hated them. They weren't very bright and the ring wasn't very consistent. It looked like little LEDs. Then I upgraded to AAC colorshifts and love them. Much brighter and looks like a solid ring of light. They are amazing. And I leave them on all the time. Even when the car is parked. I just flip them off before bed. But when I'm out and about I leave them on when it's parked and people are always taking pictures of it.

I agree. Colorshift 2.0 is the way to go. I have them im my headlights and driving lights. Always a "crowd" pleaser.

The thing is nobody will install the kit for me and I don't trust myself to do it and not damage anything therefore I am going to get the pre-assembled ones which jumps the price up a lot

You can send your lights to AAC. They charge $170. Wiring is a lot easier than it looks.
