My dealer is applying the front license plate with adhesive that easily comes off and does not hurt the paint. I live in So. Cal. and we are required to have a front license plate. Not sure if I will take it off or not!

I'm looking to apply mine with adhesive. Would the 3M double sided tape really work...even just for inspection? |

I bought the manual Show N Go from Altec Products http://www.altecproducts.com/ via Amzaon http://www.amazon.com/Show-Go-Licens...3964988&sr=8-1.
My Dealer hasn't completed the NJ Plate transfer so its not been installed yet. In looking at the product there will need to be some modification made to accomodate the plate in which the frame slides given the angle of the front bumper - I think my Dealer can handle it - we'll see and I will post pix when done. I did get a "We Owe" form from the Dealer indicating they owe me a front bumper bracket - I intended to use that as a ready excuse if the Show N Go is a No Go while I figure something else out...

i live in southern cali, and my lexus doesn't have a front plate. been driving it for 3 years now without one single problem. besides, if a cop does pull you over, i think for most states it's just a "fix-it" ticket. meaning, they give you a ticket but you have so much time to fix it. if you fix it, then you go to court with proof and they dismiss the ticket.
i'd do that. hell, that IS what i'm doing. if a cop tells me i have to, then i will. until then, no plate. by the way, has anyone seen a pic of the new camaro with the front plate on it? i mean, where it's supposed to go and not a modified plate holder. i haven't yet...wonder what it actually looks like... |

Cool. Before I read this I had sent an e-mail off to my TX representative and suggested they make TX a one plate state. Told them how much money they would save by only having to stamp one plate. |

The "front plate fairy" dropped some pictures off to me today of the no-drill bracket on the V8. It mounts directly up with no modifications needed. The one piece of work that you will have to do is to unbolt the cowl on the bottom of the car in order to get access to the back of the fascia to secure the nuts. Small price to pay in my mind for not having to drill the front bumper. Here are a few shots. Thanks again to the front plate fairy for the great pictures!
