Ive taken my car camping about 5 times and slept in it 4 of them ( i was either too cold or to drunk to make it to the tent) mostly in the passenger seat reclined all the way back but ive fallen asleep in the drivers seat as well, Neither sucked though and im 5'11.
Disclamer: There are no cops out where i camp.

I haven't slept in my fifth gen, but I have slept in my fourth gen several times, so I think it would fine considering the fifth gen is more roomy.

This past summer I was working a double shift. I couldn't sleep the day before my shift so, I brought a pillow along in case when I got off work I needed to sleep before I drove home. My job is 2 hours from where I live.

It's a part time job, meaning I only work a few days a week for part of the year there.
( super benefits make this more than worth the gas and time spent driving. )

Anyway, I was pretty hyped up after my shifts were over and I decided to drive home. After about 25 miles I started getting really tired, so I pulled off at the rest stop and laid my driver seat all the way back, popped the pillow behind my head, set my iPhone to wake me in 2 hours.

I awoke to the klaxon alarm going off and drove the rest of the way home without being sleepy.

I have a place to stay near where I work and usually the work me days in a row, so I stay the night usually and don't drive back and forth each day. I needed to get home the next day to attend something for my son.

My Camaro was actually comfortable. The pillow really helped too.

I guess it also helps that before I was married I used to drive the country and am used to taking naps in my car at rest stops during the trips. Back in the 80's when Pontiac came out with the Fiero, I bought one of the first ones off the line. I could sleep in the Fiero so I guess I can sleep in anything! LOL

Even now when I drive from Florida to Pennsylvania a few times a year alone, I do this.

You slept for 45min then woke up crying and needing to be changed and wanting a bottle, that sounds like a terrible way to sleep.

Yup been there done that. Drunk at a bar near my buddies house. Buddy came and picked me and my car up. He Drove to his house and i crashed in the passenger seat with the windows down. Woke up to a crack heads arm inside my car looking for the unlock switch. A little drunk kung fu fighting and I escaped unscathed and still had my car. Kinda funny when i think about it now.
