You must have missed what Top Gear UK had to say about it, and the Stig's time on their track was "over the top" impressive.

  4. Sloppy transmission (M6) Not as refined as a $100k plus vehicle's

  1. Price
  2. aerodynamic improvements/upgrades
  3. 580HP/556tq
  4. Magnetic ride
  5. Launch control
  6. PTM (great for the novice/beginner racer)
  7. Suade interior
  8. Heads up display
  9. race application warranty
The ZL-1 does make a great car for having fun in Mountian roads and canyons, with the ability to go to the track with minamal adjustments to make it race ready for the casual/weekend warrior.

The ZL-1 has it's flaws, but as most camaro owners have noticed they over come them fast and enjoy a great car that brings a smile to almost everyone.

My prediction, I think the ZL-1 will be in the top 4 with the GT500 equal or just behind it. Both cars appeal to their prospective market targets.

These items have nothing to do with It's being considered a "Driver's Car". Because of what we've heard from other reviews I believe it will do decently even in this group. Add in the price factor and it may win. The GT500 will be at the bottom for the "same issues" we've heard of. This all is based on the fact that they are really centering everthing off the cars being "Driver's Cars".

I will not be surprised at all if the GT500 is in the bottom of the test and the ZL1 is at the top.

ZL1 will be up there. It pretty much IS the driver car. If its bang for the buck then its hands down the winner..

Cup holders are dumb, but I doubt that will be part of the test, Visibilty is hard to come by in any of these cars, M6 doesn't seem sloppy to me, The interior doesn't strike me as bland..not sure what else you'd want in there except mybe a roll cage. Seats are heavy and could be improved on for sure, but I've sat in worse. If your ass is small they aren't too bad.
Yes its ridiculously heavy for its size, I still can't get a grasp on why.

Saying the ZL1 is a drivers car is like saying the GT-R is a drivers car. They are both way too over loaded with nannies to be drivers cars.

I think you will all be surprised at how well the BRZ does. I just got it's twin for a daily driver (Scion FR-S) and it's a hoot to drive. Unbelievable road feel and telepathic handling with the ability to power slide/drift with incredible control. If the test were for fastest laps it would be at the bottom of the list but it will fare well in the Best Driver's Car test.

All the cars I see pictured here are heavy on electronics. If you don't like it turn them off. But I bet you'd be a better driver with them.

Funny, I thought this comparison was about the best drivers car. Not the best self driving car. Saying you're better driver with the nannies on is like saying you're a better singer because you use autotune. It just disguises how good/bad you actually are.

So no cars with auto trans either?

Also where's the vettes and cadillacs?

You're now arguing in the opposite of your previous arguments that the ZL1 was superior to the GT500 because it won mostly on comfort and driver friendliness despite the Shelby having better performance numbers for the most part. Just saying.
