A larger mass of coolant and more air flow is the simple answer. More $ and realestate in the engine compartment. The IAT temps can be addressed with a larger inter cooler. Same idea, more coolant and surface area for heat exchange.

Gm SHOULD have put the larger 2.3 blower on top first of all, this would cut down slightly on the heat problem (but not entirely). Obviously some upgraded heat exchangers and intercoolers will help these cars alot.
