Fog lights installed - 1LS

Installed my ACC fog lights last week. It came out nice, lights are (very) bright and seemingly high quality. Need to get some headlights that are whiter to match. They were shipped fast and very well packaged. I do like them.

With that said, the instructions are incomplete and instruction pics are dark. But it was not too bad to figure out. The real flaw is the removing of the actual lamps. What a poor design! Mine did NOT come with the plasma bulbs installed, and I snapped the clip on one of the generic bulbs while removing. I thought the plasma's were supposed to be pre-installed...oh well.

Finally, my last gripe is with the lack of a wiring harness. You get four pieces of wire with a male and female end, and the female end pushes on to each pin of the bulb. Really? That's pretty cheesy...just sayin'. For almost 300 bucks, a harness, better instructions and the plasma bulbs installed is not too much to ask, IMHO.

But they look good (I think), and no more ugly black plug in front

I bought the same kit, and have the exact same concerns. Every now an again my passenger light kicks off. Not while driving. Just when parked / doors unlocked.

let me know what route you go for headlights. i converted to hids, but went back to the stock halogens. too many problems and gave up. 3 ballasts later, and 4 bulbs later.

Here is what you need to wire your fogs. A dedicated switch with a relay for power, that is why your lights randomly go out, you don't have enough power for them.

========================

Maybe...but he might just have a random loose connection too. =Stephens=, if you have that setup, where did you mount the switch?

Thanks!

I ran the switch up into the cabin, it is right below my steering wheel. I have two sets of fogs, so I have two switches, the switch on the bottom is an older switch that I had, so I used it.
