Post ZL1 Vert Review

Well it looks like the first review of the ZL1 Vert is in and........... well I think they like the coupe better? The straight line numbers were so so 4.4 to 60 and 12.7 in the 1/4 mile at 113 mph. They did not mention the Vert not having the 5 PTM modes or the lack of the ZL1 specific spoiler.

I am still hoping that the 2014 ZL1 gets a HP bump, as acceleration still seems to be all over the place. If it does not then maybe my favorite tuner (SLP) will make a go fast pkg for the 2014 ZL1? If that does not happen I find myself wanting to see a pic of the 6th gen Camaro

Interesting. Did not know the vert would not get the 5 PTM modes. What do you think would be the reasoning behind that decision? Is it simply that they doubt the vert would be used competitively? Still want one, since it would be for the wife and she would likely never use that mode....but I sure in the heck would.

Bingo, they said that vert owners would probable not go to the track:( While that is true, why leave it out?

What a mistake dropping the modes off.

if the suspension is the same normally chevy is lazy when it comes to programming so id say its probably still on the ECU of the car. i bet a tuner could unlock it and or upload them into it.

I agree with you!! IMO we need something to improve the straight line and hp numbers. If an aftermarket tuner wants to offer packages at point of sale, then that's an alternative (although a very pricey one).

That's what I have on order, but have recently been considering changing it to Black. The black coupes look pretty badass.

Was not a fan of VR in the coupe, but in the Vert it looks super sweeet and is one of my favorites.

Have you seen it in the wild, or in the reviews?

Would love some photos of convertibles in the wild.

The links I posted have pics of the VR/IOM/and CRT Verts, a member as a thread with his SW Vert, have not seen a black one yet. I also thought that the new blue color was going to be a option on the Verts??? If Chevy would ever update their built it tool you could check out all the colors
