Man how one can go from just trying to get the car here to needing advice on a clear bra.....this is a much better delima. My guy is doing a custom front one piece install. Had to order in 36 inch material to cover in one piece. Then he will be going back to about 1/3 of fender. Across the hood, mirrors, pillars and across the roof line 9 inches. Also door handles for good measure. I saw someone had mentioned the trunk lid and the panel behind wheels and I think that sounds like a very good idea. I had the windows done this weekend and used 3m colormatch non metallic film. 20% on doors and 5% limo on rear quarters and rear window. Very very nice on a darker colored car. I think it would be extreme on anything other than IBM or Black.

Here is a You tube that has pics of my car with to see window tint.

Who's doing your car in Colorado? I've got a guy in Denver that ordered in 36" material for my car as well

Does anyone have any experience with the 3M clear bra and the impact on paint fade?

I was thinking about getting the front fascia done with the 3M stuff but I'm having serious doubts on what will happen with the paint fading over time. The 3M film obviously has some level of UV resistance and therefore I'd expect that the paint under the film won't fade as quickly as the rest of the car, even if I do something like Zaino all over the car, including the fascia with the film on it. I'd rather have rock dings in my front fascia than have mismatched paint.

Per Sal Zaino:

"To apply the transparent films like Dupont Surlyn or 3m Invinishield.
Follow manufacturers instructions and apply 3m film.

After applying film. Reapply Zaino... Zaino is excellent on all
films....

Zaino can be rmoved using isoproply alcohol..."

Zaino has been a great company to work with, eagerly awaiting my IBM 2SS. 6 weeks of "In Transit"!

Zeus, how does the 35% tint look? I may have my 3M dealer put this on as well...

I think it looks perfect, just dark enough to keep the sun out and keep it cooler. But not to dark to get to much attention from the police. I jst heard starting Monday the 35% tint will now be legal. I think I made the right call, IMO. Let me know if you want some more pictures.
