Replacement DRL bulbs to match Halo/Head Lights for 2013, true they dont exist????

I am waiting for my 2013 2LT/RS to get here and I want to make the HALO's come on during the day and the DRLs my fog lights at night. I have found the harness at GEN5 that I am going to get but I have been told that Chevy Changed the bulbs base for the late 2012 and 2013 models and no one has made any replacements for them yet. Does anyone know of anyone that has made the replacement bulbs so the DRL/Fog lights will match the head lights/Halos???? I found several threads saying get the P13W bulbs so I have searched but have found nothing about this base being different other then what I was told. Thanks for the help

Thanks for the reply, I heard the bulbs base was different for the late 2012 and 2013's do you know if that is true or if the bulb you are talking about will definetly work?

They are different on the 12 and 13. I have a set from my 10 that don't fit on my 12. You have to do some shaving on the connection on the bulbs to make them fit.

@DCR

I purchased P13W plasma bulbs from AAC for my late year 2012 1LT/RS Camaro. When I tried to install, I discovered the sockets for my stock DRL bulbs are the new PSX26W models, where the key is on the left hand side. The keys on the plasma bulbs from AAC are on the right hand side. That's the only difference between the two.

So your options are: stick with your stock DRLs until a vendor starts using the new PSX26W sockets; find a vendor that has the new sockets (good luck); or purchase a set of replacement bulbs and modify them yourselves, knowing the fit won't be perfect, nor will the bulbs "snap" in place. There are a few members here who have used zip ties and other items to better secure the plasma bulbs...you can do a search and find those posts. If you purchase from AAC, they will modify the bulbs for you but you have to let them know you have a 2012 when you order. The modification just consists of the key bring filed down.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Good luck and congratulations on your new ride.

I was in the same boat. I ordered plasma DRL's and shaved off the key and used zip ties to secure them into the socket. There where some great photos in a thread that I used to guide me but I can't find it again. I used four ties.... Sorry I tried to,
find it for you.
