Thats what I meant about the cheaper film. I didn't know they made two levels. As far as the Decal Store bra, I want to see how it holds up. At less than 90 dollars I think its worth a shot.

I laughed at your care comments. Some people would never wash it and go back and say "hey look!!, its defective!!" Some people would go back to their own mothers if they could...
That's about right for a typical install of the cheaper film. $300 for the film and charging $700-800 for the install is about the norm for the lower grades and not a lot of coverage. On an average you're going to spend at least $1500-2000 for a good quality film installed in the major problem areas which is about 30% of the car (nose, partial hood, mirrors, pillars, lower rockers a partial quarters). Start covering more of the car and of course the price goes up. And if you run the really high quality films such as the XPEL you can expect it to be even higher. And yes...some people will neglect taking care of the film and paint them blame the installer when it doesn't last long. But yeah I think the stuff from the decal store is worth giving a shot and see how it holds up. Its definitely not going to last like a premium film but at $90 you can afford to change it out every year if it needed to be. If it protects the paint from chips and doesn't look like yellow hell after 6 months then its worth it.

Thx
I haven't heard of them or seen any of their film installed so couldn't say. After looking at their site I would probably be compelled to give them a try just based on their 5 year warranty if their price is reasonable. Since they're new to the market you can probably get a good deal from them so they can get their product out there on display.

I have it on my 2011SS Vert on the front facia, the mirrors and the gills.
The car is black, and if don't know where to look , you'll never see it. It's that good.

As soon as my ZL1 Vert gets here in the next few days, I'll have the same clear bra (Avery Nanofusion) put on the ZL1. (It's also black)

I was quoted 950 bucks from an xpel installer. that was for the front, the beginning of the hood, the mirrors and some custom pieces behind the rear wheels.

Not great but not terrible either. Better installers will charge more and they are worth it.

This goes out to anybody wanting a clear bra installed, get references and check them out. You would be surprised at what you hear and it will help point you to the correct installer.
