LFX owners: has anyone...

Has anyone ever put you down for having the "crappy camaro"? A friend of my best friend said that I have the "crappy one" implying the 6 cylinder camaro.

I know it's probably just some loser that said it who doesn't have a camaro, but it kinda hurt a little. I love my v6 - it's enough for me. I went with the v6 cause of the fuel economy and cheaper price.

I don't know, maybe I'm just letting it get to me more than I should? Maybe they're just jealous?

You could make the same argument to an SS owner now that the ZL1 exists. Or any Chevy Camaro owner since there is the Chevy Corvette. F 'em. I guaranty your car is better and more fun than anything they are driving.

I usually say yeah a V6 with 323HP and is capable of a top speed of 150mph... That usually shuts them up.

I've run into a handful of folks that have mouthed off that anything less than 8 cylinders is crap. Funny though, none of them drive a V8 Camaro.

Compare it to their car...should make you feel ALOT better !!!

Nothing wrong with the V6. Its got alot of ass for a V6. It's enough car for me.

Honestly, I would either be in jail, or have totaled the SS if I had it.

Glad I went with the V6, I still have a ton of fun, and I respect the hell out of the car!

Not trying to put down v6 owners. You still own sweet cars, I just think that trying to shut someone up by sayong 323 hp good for 150mph is kind of pointless.

Why pointless? It seems to work for most people. Because most people still think that a V6 is like they were 20 years ago. They hear V6 and automatically think low HP and Slow.

I've had some friends and co-workers give me the "Shoulda have a V8" rundown and it usually ends quickly with me asking them who makes the payment. It's hard to argue that one.

Our V6's have more high-end pull than a lot of other model V8's on the road today. I don't feel like I should have to argue with anyone about what car I should have bought in the first place. A little childish, no?

He's ignorant... There's no such thing.. There's the LS, LT, SS, and the ZL1... None of which are crappy. He's seen the Camaro, but he has never experienced one. Of course the V8 is better in acceleration, but that doesn't mean that the V6 is a slouch either. Stock for stock.. You're 6 is as fast as my 8.. Neither one of us can go above 155 without a tune, but at least we both can get there.

Like I said, the kid is ignorant.. Take him for a ride, and I doubt he will call your car the "crappy camaro" again.

Most people tell me about cars they have been in "back in the day" acting like 120 MPH is fast!
