I'm in Florida and think its nice. Lots of rain during summer but it's not the worst. My car is always outside and don't complain.

![]() And if you follow the highway code you are not allowed to mod your exhaust at all, in any way. Good for us it also states that you can not sell any modified exhaust that doesnt follow the code. what a cf our codes are. The only advantages we have in maryland are the people responsible for writing the highway codes probably couldnt change a tire without a tow truck and a garage.

Down here they don't enforce noise ordinances within reason or even have them. Most of the LEO's are car guys too. |

They changed it then. It's been a few years since I was last there. You didn't have to do the emissions every two years before. Just when you bought it. People use to modd there cars like crazy after they bought it.

if you can stand a dry 110F, then southern nevada is great for driving in general...as long as you can avoid the seemingly never-ending construction ![]() it's pretty similar to the arizona situation with the dry heat though. rubber dry rots over time here. when i was driving my dad's old f-150, we had to replace the tires not due to tread loss, but due to the sidewalls drying out so bad they cracked to the point where they split open. went from a full tire to completely flat after only 5 minutes after parking. good thing it had a spare. when i parked it at the tire shop, i purposely rested a tire on a parking "block", so the sidewall would be flexed a little. sure enough, that was enough to open up the cracks on that tire too. long story short, once your tires start to crack on the sidewalls, (takes about 5-10 years depending on tires and how you treat them) don't be stingy with laying rubber down. don't wanna waste any perfectly good tread. ![]() i'm pretty sure better sidewall care (such as armor-all) would prolong the life of them and prevent that dreaded rubber dry-rot we get out here. same goes for any rubber hosing, though i haven't had any issues with dried out hosing, yet. almost forgot to mention, we DO have emmisions (smog) testing, but only on "older" cars. once the car is old enough, it is exempt from the smog testing. i forget the specific cutoff years for smog testing. it's still waaay less stringent than Cali. that old f-150 got 10mpg combined and still had no issues passing smog tests.

Arkansas is great, no strict mod laws, the Cops I've met love Muscle Cars, and you can get E-free 93 octane gas.
I've noticed people know how to drive in Arkansas. I-40 from Little Rock to Conway is under construction being widened. There's 10+ miles of shoulder to shoulder concrete barriers and the traffic flows 70 miles an hour, no problems. Other states, it'd be daily gridlock but not down here. |
