Anybody had this happen to your bowtie?

I swear, a week doesn't go by where my SS doesn't get buttslammed by the world at large. Always thought an SS emblem should have been put there by the factory....though I'm lukewarm on changing any of the factory emblems with different ones.

Double stick tape holds it on I presume? Hair dryer? Gentile prying?

What did you do?

Looks like time for a new badge. Toss the bowtie. Love Chevy but that monster bowtie is uncalled for.

If you're still under bump to bump warranty the Chevy emblems are covered.

I watched them replace my front bowtie at Cfest2 to a black one. What they did was drill a hole 3/8"in the center of the bowtie just through the the ceramic portion (not thru the back holder) then they took a curved screw driver pryed on it and it poped right off.

Thx for info. I'm torn between A: painting B: New grill all together C: I am tempted to do SS badge in center, however, can't have 2 SS badges on grill.....and I like the little red SS badge in drivers side corner...

Did a rock crack it like that? I've never seen one cracked on any car I've owned.

Rock damage probably not covered under warranty.

If you don't want to replace it, try hitting it with 4 coats of black Plastidip they paint over the Plastidip with what ever color you want to match the car with. I have an RJT. I left the center black and did the chrome area in a burgundy model paint that I had laying around. It matched pretty close to the RJT.

Looks like a rock hit it. Doubt that warranty will cover it. Just do a bow tie delete. I did it and it looks killer with out it. Matter of fact i deleted the rear as well.

"Gentile prying", is this the equivelent to "Jewish prodding"?

Shalom.

Just pull it off, there is four clips that hold it in. Just buy another one from GM $30-$40 maybe? Or get a Delete $35?

I know some people are not sure about taking certain things off the Camaro to leave it original but they can be put back on if ever needed or wanted too..

Turned 41K. Yes, I deduce a rock hit it. At first I was suspicious that it was another parallel parking melee. Not the case. Believe I'm going to go delete. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=front+bowtie+delete+camaro

Gentle.
