Thanks for all the compliments!

I just enjoy getting my hands dirty and working on my own stuff. I only hope the car performs well on the dyno and drag strip!

Current plan is to do the tune this Saturday on the street. That will give us a chance to work out most of the drivability and determine if I need to upgrade the fuel pump. If it needs a fuel pump upgrade, that'll have to be installed before we do the remainder of the tune on the dyno.

Probably round mid September we'll do the final tune on the dyno as well as a separate race gas tune. Then as our Arizona nights start to cool a little, I'll take it to Firebird with some drag radials and a line lock (still have to get those) and see what it'll do.

This thread isn't done yet!

After considering dropping the cradle, I decided to drill the holes aka ZL1 #140. I must say it isn't hard to do, and it works like a hot damn. That whole piece of metal is not at all structural (Its actually quite flimsy and thin) and all it does is separate the wiper compartment from the engine compartment. The area that is modified doesn't even serve any real purpose and could have been made smaller from the start to make the bolts accessable, but who am I to question?...
The blower lid then came off no problem.
Something I did notice which I don't like at all, was the traces of oil I found in the upper intake area. Very small pools of oil in a couple of low spots of the casting. I can only surmize that this oil is coming from the pcv system, as i really don't see anywhere else it could come from.
In my experience with supercharging, oil in the inlet air is a very bad thing. Besides gumming stuff up eventually, oil in the combustion process causes detonation among other things and i'm pretty sure I want NO oil in the intake tract. I will have to look into a better pcv system to combat this problem.
Anyone else seen this?

That is common on forced induction engines and is the reason why an adequate PCV system is needed. Either install breathers on both valve covers or an adequate PCV system like what Rev Extreme sells.
