Oh no, by this time you could have called the dealer and had him FAX you the information/paperwork over..........and enough time to order out Chinese food, from China. Sorry there buddy, this is my one "hotspot": those of you that swear you paid THOUSANDS less than anyone else, and then leave others feeling like they got ripped off and wondering about their purchase, to the point of causing issues with the dealership "THAT RIPPED THEM OFF"........... If you agree to a price and are happy with it, all great, everyone wins. However, there is the human condition, called "cognitive dissonance" where a person naturally starts feeling guilty and bad for paying so much for something when the $$$ could go anywhere and everywhere else. And a brand new car, most any brand new car bought for pleasure fits this bill but especially a new Camaro which is an indulgence for most. It is very common with guys with besides cars but also with engagement rings and wedding dresses for women. This is why many salespeople call you within 24-48 hrs to see how swell your new purchase is, and how awesome it is, and how others sure do love it even more than you.................... So when someone is going through a glitch in the purchasing agreement, they have enough going on besides you chiming in for no other reason than how superior you are to how FRICKING less you paid for your car. They have enough going on, you have added NOTHING to the solution, only adding to the problem. I am done, will say no more on it, don't bother responding, nor "digging up the paperwork", don't care if you paid $1.99 for it. Good for you. Thank you.

After talking to A LOT of different people who all claim to be a manager, it may be over. They are saying that they are going to finance it the way it was signed for on the contract. When customer service called, I told the rep about talking to lawyer and she shut down. Said she could not further assist me if I retained a lawyer. Lets just hope that the last "manager" I spoke too wasn't blowing smoke in my ears.
I tried to give the car back, but they wouldn't take it....for one reason or another. I just want all this drama to be over so I can enjoy my new car! I went out and bought some detailing stuff yesterday, so I'm excited to give my baby her first bath! Then I can finally post some pics!

See you stuck to your guns and like I said in my post that it was all a ploy and that they would have to stick to the original contract. Now if they couldn't stick to it they would have no option other then to let u return it. Now enjoy your car and have fun! |

well CA is a bit different in that respect.. since they signed and agreed on a term, rate and price, the only way they can take it back is if both parties agree to cancel the contract, OR they take it to arbitration and an arbitrator decides in favor of the dealership. Otherwise they are on the hook to find her financing on the terms she signed. I know the dealer she used, and what basically happened from what I've read here and she told me, is they signed the deal without getting final approval from the bank (whether it was because it was after hours, weekend, or the finance manager was not around, whatever) they signed it, so here in CA the dealer is liable to find her financing. The dealers bank (or banks) rejected it by $650, so now the dealer has to either adjust the paperwork to show $650 Less being financed or find another bank to take the deal. This has happened to me, the dealer couldn't get Ford Financing and ended up getting an outside bank to do it, and the dealer takes the hit for the factory rebates, because they only apply if financed thru GM. (in my case it was Ford). So basically they got her an outside bank, and the next customer will get balled for the rebates that they lost on her.. |

If you keep the car you should get a Sales Satisfaction Survey from GM via e-mail.
Make sure you do the survey . These surveys are usually tied to bonuses, pay etc. for salesmen, managers and finance people. Make sure you hit them hard. I worked at a Chevy dealer for 20 years.I got vacations, bonuses ,extra days off for getting good surveys. If I got even one bad survey For any reason,I got my ass chewed, but the dealer I worked for had a very good reputation and was proud of it. |

By the way don't let the sales experience ruin anything, its a great car .
And do a little research on nearby dealers for service . I don't know if I would trust your selling dealer at this point. |
