I agree 110% on that. I feel the weight being safer,if needed. I'll be a weekend warrior when mine comes in next week. I bought the car because there hasn't been a car that I have wanted this bad since I had my 79 Rally Sport in '83. I truly loved that car, to this day, and there were no mods other than wheels and tires(of course). The little 2 barrel 305 wasn't a racer but was a dream, at least to me. I'm sure I'll run one off here or there but I could actually care less if I win. It's all about the heartrate racing for me.

Agreed. I couldn't tell you how many people have told me what an awesome car it is. I've had people yell at me from the curb at red lights and tell me how awesome it is. It puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel.

hell yeah! the Zl1 is one of the most stable and sturdy cars ive ever driven. the thing in rock solid at all speeds. and IMO it has plenty of power. my car will most likely never see a track, so im happy with getting from 0-80 in a flash on a highway

So as I like to say enjoy what you have because we are here for a good time not a long time . Thank you all and have a safe and ticket free weekend with what ever you may be driving!

ZL1 Sunday Drive. Monday Drive. Tuesday Drive. Wednesday Drive. Thursday Drive. Friday Drive. Saturday Drive. I can't stay out of the damn thing! Musta tripled my monthly fuel consumption in the last few weeks and could care less. Shit putting fuel in it is worth the price of admission with all the looks it gets at the gas station. And the chicks are absolutely moistened by it! LOLOL!

All of the above is true. I am amazed by some of the negativity about this car. Hear this. I'm 50 years old. My first of many Camaros was a 1980 Z28, 4-speed. $8,400.00. I made the payments working at Long John Silvers. That car had 185 HP, and ran a high 14 sec 1/4. I loved that car. It was "fast" enough, and great for grabbing gears with that Borg-Warner Super T-10. It got me the company of some girls that should have been out of my league. I could go on, but my point is, todays drivers should appreciate what these new cars can do. A factory car with 580HP was unimaginable. We were sure the real muscle cars died in the early 70's.

Count your blessings folks. These cars are amazing. Better built, bettter options, and tons of power. Should you really care if a Rustang is .4 seconds faster? There's always going to be a faster car. Just enjoy the hell out of these cars before the new cafe regs kill them again.

I gotta take a breath. I dented my keyboard.

I drove my friends ZL-1 once "less that 150 miles on it then" it feels soooo much different than my 2SS/RS LS3. if it ever gets 500 miles on it I hope to see how it responds to more than 1/2 throttle...

Ultimate Camaro!

I have been fortunate to have more than one Camaro in my lifetime. My first Camaro was awesome. It was a '69 RS convertible. It was a basket case when I got it. Had it restored with a 327 vette motor,Auto, 4.10 gears, yellow with a black top. I Loved that car. I wish I still had it!! In the '90's I bought a Z-28 convertible. I still drive it. It has 162,000 miles on it. I wanted to buy another in the early 2000's, but that did not happen. Then word was out that Chevy was going to stop building the Camaro. Then of course it was discontinued! My heart just sank. I have always wanted a high horse powered camaro, but when they discontinued the Camaro I thought that was not going to ever happen unless I could find a really nice SS 396/375 hp version. Well than of course Chevy announced years later they were going to bring back the Camaro again. I was so happy and when I seen what it looked like I was like wow the dream Camaro is possible again. It reminds me of my '69. I guess it has been about 1-1 1/2 years since they announced the ZL1. All I could say was holy S--t! when I heard that. I was like well SS convertible what are the chances they might ? bring out a ZL1 convertible? Some dealers I asked were like absolutely not! The car would twist like a pretzel with that much horsepower! WOW was I surprised when they announced the ZL1 convertible. My ultimate Camaro dream car is finally here!! It is ordered and I can't wait for it to get here! I am looking forward to that first Sunday drive Thank you, Thank you Chevrolet!!
