Had a great time in Blairstown today for their annual Sauerkraut Days and Car Show with RJBJFire and Dale.

There were 176 cars in the show. That's 100 more than last year.

Saw some old friends and some great cars.

Dale and his "Money Green" took 2nd in the Camaro/Firebird Class. Nick Simmons took 1st with his red '69.

INTIMIDAT3R and "Domino" took 3rd in the 1973 to Present Modified Class. A 1978 Monte Carlo took first and a 1985 Monte Carlo SS took 2nd.

Wanted to let all know who are going to Madrid show tom. this is a points judged show trunk , hood , and at least one widow has to be open when being judged ! Last year they even went as far as looking un der the car too ! So clean and vac. best you can ! See ya in the morning !

My 2013 Camaro is at the dealer having the dealer installed items installed. I should have it by next weekend. Can't wait!

Thinking about the Madrid trip tomorrow. We went for a nice ride today in the 2012. So the car needs a lot of cleaning. I'm not sure I can get it all done and still be there on time.

I do need to learn the ropes sometime. I'll see what I can do. What should I bring?

Rags to clean rims
Microfiber towels
Tire Shiner
California Duster
Detailer spray
Window cleaner

Most shows have food and beverages so you should be fine.

Had a GREAT time in Madrid today with everyone... Paul, Steve, , Jeff "Whitehorse", Bob & Karen, JD & Nancy, Dennis, Tim & his daughter(from Cedar Rapids ), Jeremy & Crystal, Gerry & Vicky, and a few of JD's buddies(new members whose names I forgot ). Unfortunately, Scott "Toesuf94" was unable to make the trip because Mother Nature changed his plans from yesterday to today. We missed you big guy!!! :(

Most of us were parked in one area, while Tim got stuck about 3 blocks west and 2 blocks south of us. But somehow we all managed to make our rounds and visit Tim and the others.

If anyone hasn't noticed Tim's paint on his silver Camaro, next time you see it be sure to take a look. I swear the car looks wet!!! The paint is smooth as glass, the shine is DEEP, and just sparkles. His moniker HRD_WRK is definitely fitting because he definitely had that car standing tall. GREAT job Tim!!!

There were 376 cars in attendance. I've never seen so many classic Camaros, Firebirds, and Trans Ams in one place before. It was GREAT!!! Was actually thinking about growing a mullet.

Bob "Redmaro" took 2nd in the KK Modified 1987-2013 Class. Cobras and one Mustang took the other spots.

Tim "HRD_WRK" took 2nd in the W Trailered Class All Years.

The rest of us got shut out in the K Stock 1987-2013 Class and Convertible Class. Cobras and Mustangs swept the K Stock Class and a 2013 Cobra took top honors in the Convertible Class.

I guess it was a good day to have a blue oval and snake on your car. The judges did stop at Steve's car and give it a once over, but just gave everyone else's cars passing glances.

Took a lot of pictures when Steve and I were walking around, but I know Paul will be posting his so I shall defer to his photos.

The weatherman lied, it was hotter than heck today.

Paul and I did have to leave early so we were unable to catch all of the awards ceremony. We did see Bob receive his 2nd Place, but unfortunately missed Tim's 2nd Place acceptance.
