OK, here we go. the 1st thing you might want to know is the diff is 78lbs with out the stubs (our 9" is the lightest out and is 107lbs with the housing and center) that being said i don't have a stock diff to check but im sure its close to this. the Dyno test showed a 20hp gain going from the 9" with Carbon shaft to the 12 bolt with aluminum shaft. The car drive as good as stock and it nice knowing the diff will take a beating. if you have any more questions please let me know

So the level 5's will connect up but the current aluminum 1piece will not....is that correct?

How much longer until you are going to offer for sale to the public? If you are waiting on break-in and such then get some test mules that have the time to drive them (no offense to Hendrix, love my clutch ). WE are waiting to pull the trigger on this awesome looking setup...

Hey! lol, we are working daily on this ,Frank is not going to let anything out the door until he is 100% satisfied .It takes time to put products through the conditions that it will see over the years ,DSS ,HammerHead and Hendrix wants to make sure everyone recieves the best part possible ,it shouldnt be much longer and everyone will love the results. There is alot of information released now, maybe we can start a new thread just for the results...Thanks for asking its a really nice piece and its worth the wait.

Now doubt you guys are taking extra care to get this done right and we are definitely getting impatient. My apologies for rushing but...

So yes please start another thread consolidating the info. Perhaps a little info on the two test mules this is now in and how it is being put through its paces. Some video would be nice too. No I don't believe any of you have anything better to do!

One last question for Frank. Since it now looks like everything is going to be compatible, I am thinking about buying the axles and driveshaft now then adding the pumpkin when it becomes available. Would there be a price difference (is there a discount going to be offered for buying the whole setup at one time)? Thanks.

My stock driveshaft just lunched the carrier bearing, so needless to say i am in the market for an upgrade. I like that this setup is compatible with the upgrades for the stock differential.

Need roadracing Hammerhead!

So, I just replaced my factory axles with your 1000hp axles. I broke the factory ones driving the hell out of my car at Road Atlanta. Because the car already weighs 2 tons, I'd obviously like to upgrade the necessary parts, but loose weight at the same time (if possible).

1. I'm interested in knowing how much the complete factory unit weighs with your 1000 hp axles attached. 2. I would then like to know how much the comparable hammerhead setup weighs. Im interested in a unit that could use lightnened gears if possible. I want to reduce as much rotating weight as I can. I'm not that interested in drag racing so I would go for trading off a little weight and give up a little strength (relatively! I don't want a heavy 9"). Not gaining weight... while strenghtening the rear significantly... while having more gear choices is an awesome combination.

3. Will I be able to uss my new 1000hp axles in this diff?

4. Do you have a roadracing suggestion or want to use my car as a HPDE test mule? This car regularly sees 1.3 to 1.4 g's. Glen down here in GA recently touched base with you about my car.

All these photos are from Road Atlanta. With the combination of throttle out of the corners, sticky Toyo R888's, and loading up the left side suspension.... I'm sure you can see why I broke the left rear axle going through turn 7 (1st picture). With your new 1000hp axles I'm sure it is only time before I find the next weak link... and the diff goes. I would also like a nice light driveshaft. My next Road Atlanta HPDE is Sep 29th & 30th.

gears can be lightened, the hammerhead case will be a bit heavier. it needs to be to be stronger (sorry)

3. Will I be able to uss my new 1000hp axles in this diff? yes they will bolt right on

4. Do you have a roadracing suggestion or want to use my car as a HPDE test mule? This car regularly sees 1.3 to 1.4 g's. Glen down here in GA recently touched base with you about my car. I'm not sure what the power is on the car so its hard to say for sure, we may be able to put more ports in the rear cover for cooling ?

We still are working on being able to use the aluminum shaft we make for the stock diff work with the hammerhead. its taken a little longer to have the new rear cover casted. as soon as we have the new set up i can check all the dimensions.

So that's it, after all this time?
There's no more info on the hammerhead?
Did this move to another thread?
