Really don't know much about how this works, I was just looking at the pictures and trying to figure out the logic.

Also, what is this resonator I've heard mentioned? i don't see anything that looks like an exhaust resonator or anything in there.

Thanks again for all you do for the community!

We felt that putting the IAT sensor might disrupt the air flow, so we stuck it kind of out of the way and felt it's location would still give us a good reading of the air temp.

There intake silencer/resonator is that ugly appendage on the air intake tube:

With it removed:

Would this work for a modded SS with a airraid ? I would think it would unless the SS has a differnt kind of MAF ...right? ,..wouldn't hurt anyway would it ? Lol

shouldn't hurt... I think they make plug and play kits for the SS... the MAF harness on the V6 is an odd one, while the SS uses a more standard one..

Back woods racing at it's finest!!

Took a hacksaw to the tube!

Cut a chunk of plastic out of a 2 liter pop bottle! Attached with some 3M adhesive designed for plastic!

Then of course some fancy BLACK duct tape!

I did try making my own tube out of Spectre parts:

but alas, while it looked cool I ended up losing power in the upper RPMs due to the 90 degree elbow! OUCH!

I just got a CEL which is low voltage to IAT sensor. I'm going to assume it shorted out, similar to what happened to two of my MAF's due to my chiller. However that "issue" has been fixed for the past two weeks, not sure why I got the CEL today. Anyways, the IAT sensor is cheap so I'm going to pick one up later today and hope it fixes it.

Hmmm...wonder how easy it would be to do this to a rotofab intake? I'm not too keen on drilling into the wall of that. But I can't picture a different location. I'll wait for my 36,000 mile warranty to expire first, haha.

So does chopping that extra noise suppressor off do anything for performance at all?
