We sponsor and are active on well over a dozen forums and this one is by far the best in terms of user participation, information, and community. That is why Camaro5 Rocks!

It would be great to have a single forum that catered to all the current musclecars. However, it seems like when a number of fanboys for each brand get together on a single forum the CAPITAL LETTERS begin to fly...that ain't all bad. I think I spend more time reading threads on controversial subjects than any other...just me!

Spirited discussion is sort of like spice in food. Without any at all, the word that comes to mind is "bland", aka "boring". But there is such a thing as "too hot", and different fora draw this line differently and police it to widely varying degrees.
On one forum that I've belonged to for many years, going in as a newbie you can - should, actually - expect to get bruised if your posting style is that of a typical newbie most anywhere else. To use the food analogy, it's like finding a couple of habanero slices on your Big Mac instead of a pickle - and not everybody deals with either situation very well. That forum, however, is not particularly centered about one brand even though its origin probably was. The common interest is much more about a number of related automotive activities. And there's no car make/model vs make/model bashing to speak of. I think the internet itself tends to make fanboys sound worse than is actually the case. There is no "tone of voice" to guarantee that every reader understands that something was posted as gentle teasing and not outright intentional flame. Smilies can go only so far even if you can find an appropriate one. I really can't remember face to face discussions back in the 1960's getting anywhere near as heated as internet topics sometimes become. Norm |

S197forum.com is the best IMO. Everyone there knows what they are taking about and a lot of knowledge is to be gained there.
