Chevy Illuminated LED Rear Bowtie
Will Chevy Dealerships install the LED rear bowties( if someone purchases it online)? Also is there a way to install without drilling holes? Thanks in advance.

I am sure they will and charge you an arm and a leg too.
You will need to drill a hole no matter what it's actually very easy if you were closer I could do it for ya.

That would be nice if you did live closer. I like the multi colored lights, I wonder if it is more expensive??

Take it to any car audio/video installer, at most $100 bucks for install!

The bowtie itself is a bit more expensive if you choose the colorshift ($49 more than the single option if you buy from ACC). I donīt know if you need a control box too with the colorshift (I know I needed the control box but I put lights all over the car, donīt know how it works with the bowtie only).
The install should not be the same price colorshift or not. Hope that was to some help. |

Red is the only color you can run on the street legally.

The install is easy. Depending how you want to have it lit is also important. Via separate remote, brake light, park light etc.

The one i saw was illuminated as the car drove and when stopped, it flashed multi-colors. So I suppose that particular car's Bowtie was wired through brake light. I don't know about the drilling part. Wish there was a way to avoid it. Very cool mod though.

I guess you could avoid drilling, but youīd have all the wires run outside your car if you did so.

How do you wire it to the third brake light if you did? I just ordered mine and got the DIC, but I'm not sure as to how to wire it for the brake light.. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Jeremy.

Install is easy, I did it yesterday. And you have to drill. The wires run from behind the bowtie so for the 3M tape to stick to the car you have to drill and run the wires through the trunk lid.
I love how mine looks too.
