So, does this imply that you homeschool your kids?

Yes, we do, all 4 of them. Our oldest is a senior this year.

That's great. My wife & I were thinking about it with our kids, but she didn't have the patience

I thought you guys did that. That's awesome. I hope to homeschool our kids too, if not when they're young, at least once they get older. May have to be in touch with you and Kelly about it some day as well as the sports program!

If you stay organized, it's not as bad as many think. When I finished our basement, I built a school room (would make a nice bedroom otherwise) and they all have their own desks, has two big school surplus chalkboards on the wall, wife has various other school decorations. Kelly keeps pretty well organized. She has a large calendar and fills in each day what lessons the kids are supposed to be doing, when tests & quizzes are, when papers are due, etc. Since I work at home 3 days a week, I get to help out too which I like. And for the foreign language requirement, we bought a homeschool version of Rosetta Stone.

We really like the Cincinnati Trialblazers. We have some competitive teams with talented players. We haven't had any division 1 players, but in recent years, some of our players have moved on to play for UC Clermont, Cincy State, Cedarville, Cincinnati Christian, etc.

That's what we need, a chalkboard. We homescool as well and this year I will be taking over the math and science portions. I need visual aids to be effective and a chalkboard would be great. I sure do wish more people would homeschool.

It's cool to see so much interest in homeschooling!

We homeschooled our three sons quite a bit, not only due to the number of moves we had thanks to the Air Force, but also because as homeschooling parents we could control the content and extent of our boys' educations.

It's simply amazing how much kids can absorb in a good homeschooling environment, and you can teach your children how to be self-sufficient and to think for themselves -- outside the box and not how the government wants them to think.

Another Big Bonus: Christmas and Easter did not turn into Winter and Spring Holidays in our home as they have in public schools...

ding, ding ding, we have a winner

People are SO misled on "the separation of Church & State" I challenge people to show me EXACTLY what is says, most have no clue

Any of you going to the LS Fest in Bowling Green, Kentucky this coming weekend?

My car is done and ready to go. So, I'm taking it down for the weekend and will be entering it in the car show. I hope some of you will be there. It would be fun to see some familiar faces there.

I can't make it down. But best of luck in the car show & related events. Take some pics for us who are stuck at home!

Anyone going to the Bengals home opener in a couple weeks? I'll be down & tailgating if anyone wants to meet up.

Trying to decide betweeen KY and IN. NHRA last weekend got postponed to this weekend. Hopefully I will make a decision before Friday night. (Kings Island is a wildcard option due to family invite from Honda. If my son wants to do that then I'll pobably be there)
