New tires on 2013 ZL1
I'm thinking of going with these on the rear because I have a nail in the left rear tire. I could replace only the 1 tire with the OEM Goodyears F1 305/35zr/20
Any thoughts about going with these for The rears pilot super sport Size: 315/35ZR20 Sidewall Style: Blackwall Serv. Desc: (110Y) Load Range: XL UTQG: 300 AA A Price: $447.00 (each) Estimated Availability: In Stock Estimated Arrival: Get Estimate Qty:2 |

Just ordered a set of these myself. The Labor Day sale was on and could not resist. They're not needed yet but will be in the garage when needed.

The slightly wider profile will look better on the oem wheels but you may have issues with rubbing the fender during moderate/heavy suspension travel.

How much wider are the 315s than the stock 305s? Would they potentially rub on the inside or the outside?

I'm not sure what would happen if one tried to install a wider and taller tire. It doesn't sound like a good idea though.

in there your going to gain 5MM ~ in each direction or ~.2". having said that though not every companies tires are the same. even though they are both say 305 on may be a tad wider or narrower.
my gut tells me at factory ride hieght that will not cause rubbing but I could be wrong. with the road noise of the G2's I will proabably try the super sports even though they are more money unless something better comes along between now and then. what I would do is load up the suspension with a floor jack an look for clearances. See if there are any tight spots from the factory.

Stupid question on my part . . . is it possible to replace current wheels with Stock SS wheels? (say, for colder weather driving)

When I mentioned it to the dealer when I picked up the Z, he just told me to bring one of the wheels by soem day and they would try it on one of their Z's to see if it would indeed fit. Now keep in mind I was talking about just putting them on for storage and not for driving. The stock SS wheels are narrower than the Z wheels both in front and back, so I'm not sure how much that would affect the way the car would drive. |

I had the TSW's on my SS and also meant to keep them and put some winter tires (cold weather) on the ZL1. But the person that bought my SS wanted the wheels. So now I am looking for wheels and tires for the ZL1 for cold weather driving

What happens to new ZL1's tires sitting on the lot in snowbelt states?
I'm sure these dealers aren't going to garage these cars, they barely know not to fill them with regular gas. |

I'll be looking at those tires too once mine are gone... The difference is fairly small, i therefore dont forsee a problem with the wider tires.
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference 305/35-20 4.2in 14.2in 28.4in 89.2in 710 0.0% 315/35-20 4.3in 14.3in 28.7in 90.1in 703 1.0% They are overall just 1% taller that "shouldn't" cause any problems! |

The Pilot Super Sports have a very good reputation in all areas, better than the PS2's. The 10mm increase should not make any ride or interference problems. I know the Goodyears were specifically designed for the ZL1 but I would be very interested to see the difference if you decide to buy them. Let us know.
