I'm totally frustrated with seeing cars go into production that ordered way after me. I called again today and I'm still sitting at allocation #4. I ordered March 26th. I've seen people that orderd May 1st and their camaro is in production now. I see a Camaro that is similar to mine on cars.com and I'm heading there and getting it. People willing to pay over MSRP must be getting put in front of me. This is ridiculous, over 2 months and still not even accepted by GM yet.

Ya I thought Sands was kind of shady. They were the only ones willing to offer GMS pricing but when I talked to them they refused to tell me where I would be in line or to even give me a time frame of when my order would be submitted. Sorry that they are screwing around on you.

Not that I really have any room to complain, per se, but I did leave $500 with C******y Chevrolet on 5-18 and have not had one single email or call from them regarding the deposit past that day. I'm now on their dealership email newsletter list, though, so I know they know how to contact me. Maybe because I was realistic when I went in to place the deposit and select configuration and told D@@@d I'd see him in December. Maybe because I ordered the lowly LS.

Has not supplied information I have requested, both by phone and email:

How many orders are in front of me?

How many allocations were awarded initially? How many new ones?

What's my order numer/characters?

I have been promised communication when on the phone, but I called them and received no follow-through.

Not pissed, just putting it out there. They're not going to make much on my model, and I already paid them up front for part of it. Kinda feel like I'm owed something. Let's see how long it takes.

Let me see if I can help you out here. First off you will not have an order number until Courtesy received an allocation and can officially submit your order to GM (aka event code 1100). Really until that happens there is nothing they can tell you. I never had a problem with them telling me what number I was in line so idk why you are having an issue there. Courtesy receives allocations on a weekly basis, some weeks they receive Camaro allocations, sometimes they don't. The last allocation that I know of personally happened on May 21st and put them up through car #33 (which is mine). I am not sure if they have received anymore allocations since that time.

I understand your frustation with the lack of communication (I went through the same phase) but realistically there isn't much of anything for them to communicate to you. They do not know when the allocations will come in nor do they have any way of knowing how many they will get. I do know that they will not be putting other cars in front of yours just because you ordered an LS. Can I ask who your sales person is? Mine is David Blankinship and he has been absolutely fantastic. Sometimes he is hard to reach through e-mail because I believe he is the internet sales manager so I usually reach him by phone.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

It was awesome to meet you. You were very nice to stop and let me, my son and nephew look at your Camaro. I'm still may change my color to IOM. That interior is a huge draw for that exterior color. I am changing my stripes to white for sure. The white stripes really popped on that color. Have fun with the Camaro, hopefully I'll have mine before next year.

You should check out cars.com. They have 29 Camaro's between Vegas and Phoenix advertised there. Some are over MSRP, however it looks like some are at MSRP. Maybe one will match what you ordered. I know your frustration, I have to call weekly to get an update. Most weeks I don't even move on the allocation list. I may just get one of those Camaro's off cars.com.

An order does not go to 1100 until it is submitted to GM through workbench. Until an allocation opens up the order is only in the dealers system basically just as a way of holding what it is you want in the car. When an allocation spot opens up your dealer will call you to verify your order and then do the initial submission at which point you will have an order # (event code 1100). After this GM will review and accept the order (event code 2000) and the process moves on. When you place an order with a dealer that does not have an open allocation really all you are doing is putting your name on a waiting list along with what options you want for your order.

It may be possible that this is not how it works at all dealers but this is how it works at Courtesy Chevrolet.

I basically knew all of the above. It would be nice to know about how many are in front of me, though. Yes, it's David B. And I am not even going to check Cars.com. Really, really doubt there would be an order out there that would match mine, and this way just seems more "fun."

I'll wait. My present car(s) run. And I have to let the aftermarket develop, right?.......

Perhaps you are right but that doesn't explain all these guys that sit at 1100 for months waiting for allocation? It was my understanding that once its ordered it goes into the system and sits at 1100 until there is a allocation used by the dealer.

Don't deal with Courtesy chevrolet! I already went through their shinanigans back in January....go to thorobred and ask for John Simonson...tell them Darric with the 2ss sent you...they are honest and willl let you know about allocation...
