Sorry if this has been asked already but does this product require the washer bottle relocation? Have you tested with the adm scoop or without?

It does not require the stock bottle to be relocated. The original prototype was tested with the stock washer bottle in place and no additional modifications to the car to increase air flow into the intake. My car is not modified for the scoop, and I did not want to add the scoop until the testing with the stock washer bottle was completed. I am going to be testing the latest version this Friday with the stock washer bottle, and no scoop also...

If you look closely at the latest picture of the new unit, you can see the top of the washer bottle through the lid.

I think one of the independent testers will be dynoing the stock intake vs. my unit with an ADM scoop though if I understood right the last time we exchanged words. His car is already modified for a scoop, but doesn't currently have the scoop. I will be supplying him with the scoop.

The bottle doesn't have to be removed, his is still installed And he hasn't done a scoop. I would do a scoop, just because I like the idea behind it.

I like the look of this.

Edit: I see Jason already answered.

very strong Jason. I will probably pick up your intake if I don't pick up this c63 I am eyeing.

I stuck a roto-fab washer bottle in the car last night to see if it would fit with the JF intake. For those wondering, the RF bottle does fit with this intake, and I think aesthetically it compliments it nicely. As I mentioned before, I do not plan to run the RF bottle, or a scoop with this intake when I dyno it this friday. This picture shows the MAF in it's current location (although still siliconed on, not permanently attached. Also still not a production lid.)

just out of curiosity, do you plan to monitor the MAF readings when you dyno? just curious to see if there is any turbulence that might effect stable readings with it being so close to the air filter before the air has a chance to straighten out. i could be speaking out of my a$$...just a thought.

can't wait to see how this turns out. good luck!

guess i could be talking out my a$$ as i just read the previous page...oops

As of today I now can now log to my laptop, so I will log each run. I plan to record MAF hz & g/s, iat, ambient temp, rpm, knock retard, map, throttle position, and fuel trims... Is there anything else I should be logging?

I did a short log on the way home making sure everything is working, and was VERY impressed with the iat vs ambient temp numbers... It will be interesting to see what the dyno and dyno logs say tomorrow. Leaving at 6am am to head to the dyno, dyno time scheduled for 11:00am.
