Hesistation

I finally have enough miles and a catch can on so I felt comfortable giving the car a good run to see what it would do.
Both times I did it I got it in 1st to 5K RPMS and felt a hesitation. Once it was at 5K and the other time I was shifting from 1st to 2nd.
What gives?

Was it the supercharger spooling up?

Keep in mind that the ECM 'learns' as you drive. If you've been breaking it in gently - you may want to disconnect the battery for 20 min - and reconnect. A word of caution: it will idle very roughly for a few minutes - but it will 'relearn' for performance driving.............

I am sure that Fbod has a fix that will work, but I am one who studied for a yr and still didn't understand the modes of power. I thought stage 5 was the max but it still stumbled after breaking loose to catch up. tried just traction off and It became a wild beast spun for 30 yds, backpedaled to hook and it broke free again at shift. That is what I paid the big bucks for. Bad part is I am a few hundred miles early. My 69 I built the motor and ran it like I stole it for the first 300 mies. GM has to be better than me right ?

It would be a suggestion then to do the 5 & 20 fuse pull after break in, as with the SS ?

Hmmm... so what are the implications of this? Should we be following the 4K rpm limit for 1500 miles to the letter? Is is good for the engine break in period to rev the engine to 3 or 4k in various gears and allow it to wind down on its own (engine braking)? Or is it best to simply drive it gently for the first 1500 as the owners manual seems to suggest? I want to do the right thing but have never had a car before with such a long suggested break-in period.

Any advice would be appreciated...

I have experienced something similar and am starting to wonder about it. At first I thought it was a rev limiter but it does it prior to 6000 rpm. I'm now wondering if it is the traction control system throttling the engine. Mine does what you describe ocassionally.

I've been driving mine aggressive since day one. I haven't noticed any hesitations.

Did it again tonight. Hesitates at 5K rpm and stumbles into the next gear. I will disconnect the battery and see if that helps.

Hook a scanner up to it and seen what's going on. I'm in Austin and have HP Tuners. Not sure how far you are from me, but I have no problem with hooking up and doing a scan on your car to seen what's going on.
