As someone who has had run-ins with LEO's, I agree with the ex LEO who agreed with current LEO's who agreed with the people who knew LEO's

As a current LEO, law enforcement officer to those scratching their heads, the only front facing lights can be either white or amber. Rear, red or amber. At least in Kansas... Under body can be any color other than red and the bulbs cannot be visible.

I have a friend who knows a guy who has a brother who knows a guy who is a LEO, and I say stay away from blue.

Im also a Leo and know several LEO's. I'd advise against blue lights unless you an LEO.

If you have the HIDs, why couldn't you apply blue tint to the headlights, but have a hole in the tint for the projector? That way, the mail light would still be passing through a clear lens, and the halos would look blue. That might look pretty cool, actually. Something to consider.
