I got the 2SS model and have the Boston Premium and absolutely love them to death. I my honest opinion, the way these stock 6x9s hit in the back, you don't even need a sub. The only problem that has arised and I am not sure if this was resolved for the 2012/2013 production, the panels that holds the speakers together rattles during some low frequencies that it becomes annoying. That right there is where Chevrolet missed the mark, that little rattle that can be a nuisance from time to time. If you wanna know a little tidbit, back when the 2010s were rolling out, some folks were taking the cars to the deaership about the rattling noise and for the dealers to warrant the wear n tear warranty. They'd recieve it back and nothing was ever done, until GM was getting so many complaints about the situation that they told the dealers to replace the stock amp with a lower wattage one so the bass wouldn't be too much that it would cause the rattling. So that shows you just how much kick that system HAD. So there are some out there that have 2010 Camaros with a high wattage amp, like myself, and am damn happy of it.

I'll keep an eye out for ya about the panels Marty.

Hot Dang, my tracking report says it's at the dealership. Thought I would die of old age before it got here. Haven't heard from the dealership yet. I guess they got to get it ready. Hope they don't sell it. It's suppose to be mine. I put up a $1000 deposit. Ordered it on 8/2, and it arrived at dealership on 9/13, so took exactly 6 weeks to arrive at dealership from date of order.

A friend of mine is selling his 1999 Camaro Z28 LS1, 114k Miles, 17” Chrome Wheels, Ultra Z Hood, SLP Air Box Lid, K/N Filter, Alpine CD Player, 2 – 12” Kenwood Woofers and amp, exhaust is all straight pipe and this bad boy is LOUD!!! Seller is asking $5K OBO, and payment due in full; no payments. If you have any further questions please feel free to get in touch with me (Gracie). The clearcoat is peeling back because an old friend of ours did a crappy job of it. He had it done because there was a pinstrip that he had removed and didn't want the lines showing from where they were. Ask away if you have any questions!!
I may be interested, I will take a look at funds and let you know when i'm back in town. Is he interested in selling it without the sound system?

I've been reading this forum, and have read a lot of complaints about Boston Premium. Now I'm thinking I didn't miss out on much. The 1LT with BP would have cost me an extra $2200. Nah.

Here's my question. Anybody here have Boston Premium, and what do you think of it?

If I don't like my stock radio, I may go to Alamo Auto Supply, and see what they can do to improve it. And I've read that the $1000 subwoofer system you can order with the car is just crap. GM needs to raise their game on stereo systems for these camaros. A sports car like this, which is popular with young people should have a kick-ass stereo system. Helloooo. I'm 59, and I want a kick-ass stereo system.

I'm hoping my car will arrive 2nd half of Sept. It seems to be taking forever to get here. Ordered on 8/2, and salesman told me 6 to 8 weeks, so I'm just getting impatient. It was built last week of August.
I don't have the BA sound system and have not longed for anything better than the stock setup. It may not have the bass that some would want, but the clarity is definately there.

Okay, pics of the new babe. Picked her up today. I'm very happy with the car. Paint looks great. She runs great. I got the new wheels ordered from Discount Tire, and will post pics when I get the new wheels in about a week. Will try to post a video, but not sure I know how to do that.

Well, I tried to upload a couple of videos I took of the new babe, and it uploaded for quite awhile, and then I got this message.......

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

Oh well, I tried.

I figured you were gonna be the one to take stake into the 4th Gen Ryan! If I had the funds, I seriously would've considered it. It's a good looking Camaro.

XFactors: Nice lookin' ride!! Sorry about the vids, I never attempted to do one myself, so I can't help ya there. Sorry!! Hopefully you can make it out to one of meets.

Ryan, he said he would be willing to sell it without the sound system. At this point he has had 2 guys look at it, and one pulled out due to lack of funds, and the other he is waiting on. I informed him you might be interested but were out of town. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

JwalkinSmithers: Welcome to C5 Keep checking back in here for meet and greets, would be nice to meet other owners!!
