even after u mod it's still a SS camaro and not a Z/28. u cant change the history behind the z/28, even if ur car is faster.

dont know, it could be anything. Car companies have in the past taken a good model or tag like the Z-28 and ruined it. Ex Challenger.

Well I have always liked the SS better so I would rather just mod mine..........I think the SS has a better history anyways

I want a branded GT 500 killer. I don't care for a frankenmaro. I want a out of the box, turn-key, un-adulterated GT 500 killer. Slogan for the Z/28 should say, "Will kill GT 500, Garanteed!!" For the enthusiast, it's not just a car, it's a name. I can spank a GT 500 stock with a SS moded for sure. And I'm sure a moded GT 500 or GT will spank a Z/28 stock. What guys want is, and this goes for the Ford guys too, that factory fresh benchmark. I love to work on my cars, but I like the brand name too.

It's not drinkability, it's spankability.

I've never head anyone say that about the Challenger before. Charger, sure. But not the Challenger.

Im right there with you..........I dont care about it being stock or not. I already have a GT500 killer in my garage.......my 97 Trans Am that I rebuilt. It has the same LT1 in it ( just a little modded lol) and it doesnt bother me one bit that it didnt come from the factory like that. It performs better, sounds better, and is more fun to drive. Who cares about stock......

Yeah, a Z28 would have been nice, but it aint the end of the world...hell, 2 or so years from now, we'll probably be happy to even have the v6, now that the disillusioned government owns GM

Yes I would Like a Z28, should be at least 50 more HP than the SS, Geared slightly lower, have a nicer ram air hood, a different spoiler, better exhaust, and different badging. Price needs to be no more than 5k over the SS or I would not be interested.

Most definitely there needs to be a z28, for sure. however it needs to be a direct competitor to the rustag GT 500, plain and simple there is no other way to have it.

1. HP 550

2. bad ass suspension

3. bad ass body looks

I say have GM needs to grow some cajones and announce the z28 limited edition right after the transformers movie comes out. the would be perfect timing something GM needs to learn how to do better.

I wonder...if the 2010 SS had been badged as a z/28 instead....would all of you lusting for a z/28 with more hp instead be lusting for a SS?

That's hilarious! How about 5k under the SS as long as you're dreaming?
If the Z28 ever does come out you will definitely not be interested.
