I'm assuming you have a long daily commute.

After enough TIME, not miles necessarily, the electronics will start to fail. The engine will stumble and hesitate as the many sensors and fuel and air delivery systems age.
My experience has been this is around seven to eight years regardless of miles with LSx engines.

nah, any new car should last 10 yrs without any problems. if GM vehicles are starting to go at 7 years then they're about 10 yrs behind the rest of the industry and should just be allowed to go under now.

A car lasting for a certain span of time of an objective premise, though. You can technically have a car last forever if you just replace the stuff that breaks. Invariably, if you just keep driving and driving the same car, it will need the entire engine replaced - would you consider that "lasting forever"? Or is that considered something else?

Mine is just about 2 years and 1 month old.
81,000 miles
Original tires, no problems, oil change when the DIC says, use the new GM synthetic oil changed at the dealer.
Previous vehicles....2002 Dodge Ram van...275,000 miles and still use
1994 Dodge Ram van sold with 192,000 and he used it for another 60k miles and sold it
1986 Ford van...200k 2 motors though
1980 Chevy Chevette(only non Camaro that I have owned, car wise)
sold with 165,000 miles

All vehicles maintained with reg oil changes and scheduled service.

Hope that helps.

How do you even answer a question like this?

You should have asked, "how long do people usually live for?"

No, it sorta looked the part, rusted out floor boards, I think I redid the shock towers 2 or 3 times. Mechanically sound, but falling apart every where else, lol.
Had a lot of fun in that car!!

Aloha, please tell me how you got 80k miles out of the original tires, because that's just... impossible!

His name is PieNsky and he had 116,000 last time he checked in.
He had a beef with one of the vendors and left us.

Every GM product so far that I've owned or my family has owned has been really good. Now I'm not saying that ONLY GM's will last forever, if you take care of your car then it will last as long as you want it to. Just like almost everything in life...

Our 2001 Venture has 190k miles and my Dad still dailies that. My old '95 Monte Carlo had 160k when I traded it in. My Pontiac G6 has 52k on it now and is my DD. I could go on and on but since this is a Camaro forum...

My Uncle still has his 1969 Camaro that he has owned since '71 and has driven that all over America. Think he has upwards of 200k on the clock, not sure, I'll check when I head up there tomorrow. It is garaged now and babied but still in good shape with minimal rust.

I plan to hold on to my 2012 Camaro for as long as I can, if not my whole life. As it already is my weekend car

My 2011 has seen 54,000 carefree miles. And it gets ran to redline almost daily.
