ZL1 10 spoke replicas !?

Think there will ever be the zl1 black 10 spoke replicas ? Some company made the five spoke zl1 replicas , but I think most people , including myself really want the 10 spoke .. If anyone has info on if a company will make one soon or maybe even a year let me know , thanks.

I wish. Polished versions in those would be my #1 choice if they were available.

I don't think it will happen. Last I heard, GM had a patent on these wheels to try to deter replicas. Also, the polished replicas were shut down for this reason too. I could be wrong but I think that's what happened.

Replica will show up. How long I'm not sure.

Every popular wheel out there has been reproduced.

When the 5th gen Camaro SS first came out people (V6 owners mostly) wanted relica SS wheels. And people said the same thing "GM won't let anyone reproduce the SS wheels."

Now a bunch of wheel companies make wheels that look "almost" (which might be the key) identical to the OEM SS wheels.

So exact replicas might be a NO NO, but very close copies should start popping up.

There are plenty of places to buy 20" and 22" versions of the 5 spoke ZL1 wheels in chrome and black/polished versions....but the 10 spoke are nowhere to be found.

How long did it take for companies to get the wheels out there then ?

I was thinking about this yesterday figuring maybe a few more months and they'd start showing up at more places to buy.....Like Discount Tire and such.

Companies like "Replica Alloys" make a living doing this...I would hope they would get them out pretty quick.

It seem like it took a year or so.
At first, I remember a few companies that were going to make SS replica wheels. Then the deals would fall through because of the issue with copying the SS wheel. But then a few months later down the line, some companies started making SS replica wheels (20" and 22").

I'm not sure how they do it, but they make them. I think they make the wheel slightly different. So then they can say its not exactly the same.

But I know there are lots of wheels out there that look almost exactly the same as the SS wheels. The same thing will happen with the ZL1 wheels.
When wheel manufacturers see a large demand for ZL1 replica wheels, they will make them. That's for sure.

I don't see the word "Camaro" wrote between the spokes....and no centercap ?

Maybe this is a company getting ready to make some aftermarket ones ?

I saw those last night....shame they aren't about $1,000 less.....You can get them from Chevy for not much more than that.

I do wonder about the RECONDITIONED part too....Did they come from a wrecked ZL1 ?
