Just ordered CAI's intake, scoop, and washer bottle

Honestly, no one cares, but i'm pumped

This is my first bolt-on to the new whip.

My only question is: i just noticed that with the relocated washer bottle there was an option for a pump... Was i suppose to buy that too?

You can use the stock pump out of your original washer bottle if you want.

You can re-use the stock pump without issue.

I got the pump because I didn't want to cut my stock one. You will be fine, I'm just a bit OCD about some things.

Where did you get your setup from and why did you buy from where you did? Any major differences between scoop brands/sellers? I've had my CAI for a few months and now am looking to do the scoop and relocate mod but I'm having a hard time deciding which setup to get.

I have the CAI intake and ADM scoop. Car came alive. Sounds much better too. Gained 2 tenths from that. You'll love it.

I ordered my set up from APEX. I didn't notice much, if any, difference between the different scoops and relocated washer bottles out there so i basically just found the best deal i could.

Their site is offering the CAI intake, scoop (not even sure which one actually), and relocated washer bottle for $504 with free shipping. I wasn't able to find a better deal than that so i pulled the trigger.

i'm one of those guys that does a crazy amount of research and takes a lot of time to make my decision before i pull the trigger on anything, so i'm pretty confident with my purchase. Just read any thread out there, no one has anything bad to say about CAI's intake that i've found, nor the scoop or relocated washer bottle.

There are a few other set ups out there like the RAM air series that might have better power increases, but i have also seen a few complaints about them even though the majority of the reviews are still great. Just little things like fitment issues, the integrity of the materials, engine bobbing, ext..... I just went with the safe choice.

Like stated in a comment above, i am keeping an eye on RacnJsn95's intake. They are also making a sealed intake like CAI's, but using a flat filter vs the cone for a more strait and direct airflow system. I have no problem buying another if that proves to be better, but as always, i'll wait for a lot of reviews before i pull the trigger on anything else.

The Apex washer relocation tank was developed to be a low profile option for those who did not want a tank that cluttered the engine compartment and interfered with other under hood modifications. Our tank mounts to the scoop itself and has a remote fill neck that can be mounted in the location of your choosing. Most choose to mount it to the intake heat shield.

During the process of developing the washer tank relocation kit we used a scoop from another manufacturer and found that design to be rather flimsy. One of the mounting tabs even began to show a stress fracture during the first install. It was constructed of multiple pieces of thin gauge material held together with rivets. We designed a new scoop that is laser cut out of a single piece of metal that is then bent into shape and the seams are welded. All holes needed for the installation are pre-drilled and the scoop is powder coated black so that it disappears behind the lower grill.

When I did mine, I got a package deal from APEX and saved a few bucks. Their service and delivery was great and I had no problems. Only downside was I didn't get a cool post with Apex Amanda saying "Congrats on the Upgrade!" so I feel just a little cheated
