lol thats what gms stands for General Motors Supplier discount. Pretty much every discount except employee uses the GMS price scale. Amount saved also depends on the items you add like the sunroof thats a 300 dollar savings by itself

GMS pricing at Connell in Costa Mesa?

Seriously? Mine is on order from Connell too. When I asked about it when my "official" order went in on 4/3, I was told they didn't know if it was going to be offered. Who are you working with at the dealer? Hopefully mine is going to deliver in the next week or two...

Thanks!

Hey "ohmygodbeckay"....I talked to Robert in finance...., 2 salesmen....Brigg and some bald guy named chris (?) They all said yes....!
so...do you have the GMS available to you Beckay?
We Purchased an 2002 Avalanche from Connell using my GMS as well.

Since the government owns 60% of GM now.....shouldn't every tax payer get the employee discount?

GMS is not supplier.GMS on invoice is GM employee price,Supplier price is listed as supplier price.Supplier is usually $100-$200 over invoice.

I get supplier discount, but my dealer says that GM won't do supplier disc on the Camaro, i used the website and would save about 1100. How do I find out if I can use it other than talking to the dealer?

That's the only way. Dealer has the choice to accept the discount or not. If yours does not, keep searching for another dealer.

I couldn't find any dealers in Houston that said they would take supplier discount. Their normal statement - that isn't available on the Camaro...

HOUSTON - WE HAVE A PROBLEM

This apparently applies to all (or at least most)...

I know I was a little confused this time around, I'm used to walking into the dealer and saying "I qualify (through my dad who is retired) for GMS Class A, employee pricing." But looks like in December 2008 GM changed the rules where it is now up to the dealer to decide if they want to honor it. After some searching I was able to find a local dealer that would accept it. For the record the Workbench Oder my dealer gave me lists four sets of pricing: MSRP, Invoice, GMS, Supplier.

To find corresponding pricing, check out the following sites, which I have verified against the pricing on my workbench order:
MSRP: http://www.chevrolet.com/
GMS: https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/ip-gmemployee/
Supplier: https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/ip-gmsupplier/

Rules and Guidelines for GMS and Supplier: https://www.gmfamilyfirst.com/GMVPP/...guidelines.pdf

If you qualify for military discount and register you can also check out: http://www.gmmilitarydiscount.com/

Thanks for the info hb! Yeah, I get GMS through my dad. I'm originally from MI so pretty much everyone in my family works for, or is retired from GM. Well, maybe not any longer after the restructuring....

I've been dealing with Gene over at Connell. He was in sales when I preordered in November, but I guess is the Finance Manager now. He's been pretty cool so far so hopefully he doesn't try to dick me over when we get to the paperwork.

My MSRP is around $45k, plus Connell quoted me a price of $1300 to paint my ground effects to match the car, so the GMS discount will at least offset my sales tax and ridiculous car registration fees. Gotta love CA!

Here is a question for someone here...I know whenI get a Ford on X plan that the dealer document fees the dealers all charge are waived. Is this the case with GMS and GMU as well or do we still have to worry about them?
