Let's pray history doesn't repeat itself, but it very well may. The regulations taking effect in 2025 don't look good for us car guys.

My 82 Z-28 with a 5.0 and 165hp was my favorite car that I've ever owned.

Yeah , expected to see my 190 HP 305 '84 Monte SS on there. Did 0-60 in 8 sec. and as 16 second 1/4 mile all while getting 13/18 MPG.

And I hear you berean, it may not have been fast, but I loved that car and it was a sweet ride IMO.

gladly I didn't own any of these, closest I came was a 1990 z-24 cavalier and that thing was pretty nimble for the time

No '82 Camaro with the 90 hp Iron Duke?
That yellow Pontiac Tempest/Ventura/Phoenix is not a GTO. Why not post a photo of the real thing?
Wimpy was caused by our government and the insurance companies. Don't blame Ford/GM/Chrysler and AMC.

pontiac actually did really well right through 74 with it's sd455 trans am. even though compression ratios were down in 71, lots of performance remained. hp numbers were down though because the industry went from a gross to a net hp rating which cut hp numbers down by a fair bit. or example a 400 hp engine in 1970 could be rated 350-360 in 71 even though it was the exact same engine.
