CAI ?? Do I need a tune to run one?

Hello, I am new to the Group,
I installed a CAI in my 2007 Mustang and had to use a SCT Tuner. Can I run a CAI on my 2010 6.2 Camaro without having to get a tuner and run tunes? I see some members say they are not running tunes, and some are. help Please,

Thanks,
Casper

Depends on which CAI you have. There are a few like Vararam tuned versions that require a tune.

This intake and a couple others make up the missing 5%.

Our intake does not require a tune, will not throw any CEL's, features a ceramic coated intake tube and insulated & enclosed airbox to reduce heat soak, and is by far one of the most if not the most popular "go to" intake for this vehicle. You can find a lot of great information on our website, www.ColdAirInductions.com

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to help!

It depends on which intake it is.

Please check out our LSR CAI, we offer a kit that can be used both with or without a tune:

  • ~15HP & 12 ft/lbs TQ Max Gains at the Wheels with no tuning, ~35HP & 38 ft/lbs TQ Peak Gains at the Wheels with tuning
  • High-flow Lifetime Air Filter
  • Velocity-Stack Inlet smooths incoming air
  • Made in the USA
  • Lifetime Warranty

Let me know if I can help you with anything.
