My first (and town's) Car Show

Hey guys, just thought I'd share some of the photos from my town's first car show. It sounds like they're going to try to make this an annual event. To enter the show they only require you to donate a couple of shelf stable food items that goes towards helping Veterans. Great charity event. They had a dunk tank, you could donate money to take some swings with a sledge hammer at a car, live music, etc. It was a lot of fun and went on for about 5 hours. All together there were over 100+ vehicles entered in the show. Good turn out for the first year!

I was slightly disappointed though. I've seen several 5th gen Camaros in my area, but I was the only one at the car show. I was hoping to meet some of the other owners, but either they didn't hear about the event or didn't care to enter. I was also looking forward to the potential chance of seeing a 1st gen Camaro. But a negative on that. Anyways, here's some pictures!






































I thought this was funny, my sister said I was in the paper, and sure enough, I was! They mentioned my car too, but got the year wrong, it's not a 2012, lol. Anyways, I do computer work for the local paper, and I asked the lady if she could email me the picture, and here it is. I'm talking to my aunt near my car in the background, thought it was cool to see my car in the paper!

Off topic question: I thought New Jersey was the garden state. I noticed a few North Dakota plates that said Peace Garden State? Just found it interesting

You'd be correct, we're the Peace Garden State since the International Peace Garden is located on our border to Canada. It's a pretty cool Garden/park.

This is right on the border between the United States & Canada.



(The black fence is there to prevent the deer from getting in the garden, apparently they like to eat all their flowers and plants, lol)

Thanks! It was a lot of fun, and I met a lot of great people.

It was funny, when I got there, one of the owners of the California Special right next to me asked me, "how did you get your car looking so clean and spotless?" so I showed her the Ice Spray Detailer I used, which really does work a treat. I spent about half an hour before the show detailing my car.

Honestly, I'm not sure, I saw the guy drive in, but I didn't see him again. I tried to stay near my car to answer questions and meet and greet. But he didn't come back this way. I wasn't too fond of what he did to it, the hole in the hood was cut poorly, and the paint looked like a rattle can job. There were a couple 2nd gens I forgot to get pictures of. One was gutted and done up for racing, pretty cool, the other was in really good shape, nice blue color.

Love the cars!!! Wish we had more shows up here. The 351 Mustang is the look that should be on the new ones....love seeing cars treated right.
