GM is my buddy

whew!! Another heater core problem here. My 2010 SS that I am driving in Germany started to smell and fog up the windows. I took it into the German GM/Opel dealership and at first they said: "You imported your vehicle and have therfore lost your US warranty." I say:" No way, sir. I am here supporting our US troops."
I had to then give him a copy of my Buyer's order, US driver's license, and my travel orders. Got the call today. GM headquarters in the US have approved the warranty work. Just in time, because my 3 year bumper to bumper expired today.
the only bad thing is that the German GM/Opel dealership is probably the lowest on the totem pole, and won't get the parts as fast as dealerships in the US. At least it is covered though. Yay!!!

I had a chance to look at the European Camaros. The interior is much nicer. Leather dash!

I am amazed how I am seeing more and more Chevrolet brands in Europe these days. I think it is nice.

djamphi, all the 2012 and up Camaros (US or European) have the leather dash.

Glad they are doing the warranty work!

To the OP, glad GM is helping you out, I'd find it hard to believe if you purchased an import over here, it wouldn't be covered under warranty. Sounds like the dealership was just pissy you didn't buy it from them.

The dealership in town is like that too, I didn't buy a car from them, so when I wanted warranty work on my Impala, they wouldn't give me loaner vehicle to use, even though it was under bumper to bumper and was having a lot of work performed, they refused. I hate crooked dealerships, especially ones that treat you like dirt because you didn't buy from them.

That is total BULL#$#*! Find another dealership and report that one to GM. I bought my car from BeckyD, chances are I will never go to Rodgers Chevrolet because it is nearly 1000 miles away. After searching a bit and talking to some fellow 5th gen owners, I found a GREAT dealership locally that takes good care of me.

In fact, like the OP, my SS is currently at the dealershp waiting for parts to arrive. (have fun with that one OP. I'm in the U.S. and have been waiting over a week for a windshield) My heater core also went bad. They started working on the core today, and hopefully the windshield will be in this week so I can have my car back.

Good luck man, take that car on the ring for us stateside guys who can only dream

Yeah, I won't ever buy from them. They're a small time dealership, and for some reason they have a nice 2013 Camaro 2SS convertible just sitting outside all filthy.

It's a beautiful car, it's Crystal Red. However, I wouldn't want a convertible personally, and it's too rich for my blood at $44,820.

It's crying for me to give her a nice wash!
